I just read all the books back to back. Wow!
I think GoF is my personal fave because the Triwizard Tournament is so cool - plus that harrowing scene at the end just kicks all kinds of ass.
OOtP felt overly long. It's an important turning point in the series because it's where Harry really starts to experience all the growing pains and conflicting emotions of a teenager, but it was almost too angsty and dark. I like how Rowling brought us back to lighter stuff with HBP before hitting us with the ending.

Oh My God! Oh My God! Oh My God!
I am going to Carnegie Hall to see JK Rowling!!!
Scholastic just called and said that I won two tickets to her appearance at Carnegie Hall in Oct. 1000 people were picked to go to her only non- school event in the US, I get to listen to her read from DH, ask questions, and get an autographed copy of Deathly Hallows! And I get to meet her in person!!!
I am so excited, I am shaking!

Completely awesome, borokat! That sounds like a great deal meeting her and getting an autographed copy as well as being part of the experience itself.

That is so awesome Borokat. Please try and give her a hug from us and tell her thank you for creating such a wonderful series and letting lots of us be kids all over again.

My mom asked me what I would ask her and I was like, Scholastic just called 5 minutes ago- I have no idea!
So, does anyone have any really good questions that they want me to try to ask?

Yay, BoroKat! I'm so excited for you and I can't wait to hear about your experience! I'm not sure if anyone else is curious about any of these things, but here's what I would want to know:
What happened with the other Weasley grandchildren--do Bill and Fleur have other kids? Who did George marry? Or Percy? Which house was Albus Severus in? What about the other kids? Was Teddy a Hufflepuff like his mum or a Gryffindor like his dad? Was Scorpius Malfoy a stuck-up little bastard like HIS dad? Or was Malfoy a bit more humble after his stint with the Death Eaters? Better question--WHO did Malfoy marry!?
Were any of the Hogwarts teachers ever married? I think she hinted a long time ago that there was a Mr. McGonagall, at least at one time, but that never went anywhere.
Did Harry ever see the Dursleys again? Who was supposed to use magic "late in life?"
Did the Marauders know that Lily was friends with Snape?
Did Lavender survive the Battle of Hogwarts? Who were the two other Gryffindor girls in Harry's year besides Hermione, Parvati, and Lavender?
I know some other people here had questions about the status of goblins and house-elves in the post-Voldemort wizarding world.
Crap, that's a lot of questions! I actually had a dream last night that I met JKR and was so nervous I couldn't think of anything better to ask her than a question about effing DOBBY.
