Hey everybody! It's almost Halloween, so in the spirit of the season, I thought I'd share my latest ghost story. To begin with, I live in an apartment with a ghost (he likes to turn the water faucets on and flush the toilet; management couldn't figure out what was going on, so they got me a new toilet, which seems to have stopped the flushing). I've seen him twice: the first time, it was in my bedroom late at night and I saw him walk out through the window, and the second time was today. I lost my favorite ring yesterday (I've had it since my freshman year of college) and couldn't find it. I looked all over for it, in my car and all over my apartment. No luck. So I asked him if he would help me find it. Less than five minutes later, I found the ring, sitting on top of the TV Guide in my guest room/den. I was clued into it being there when I caught him, out of the corner of my eye, walking into the room. I thanked him and replaced the ring on my finger. You've seen him?! What does he look like? And he helps you find lost stuff... where can I get a ghost like this?

And he helps you find lost stuff... where can I get a ghost like this? He's a tall, heavyset male with a dark complexion and glasses. I was told years ago by a psychic that he doesn't mean any harm and that he seemed to think I was "the light", which was why he was drawn to me. After I learned that last bit of information, I told him that I wasn't the light and I did what I could to help him cross over, but for whatever reason, he decided to stay. I don't really see him or hear him that often, but I will sense that he's watching me, from time to time. I've experienced all types of psychic phenomena from when I was really small, and he's just the latest in a long string of them. As far as any friends of his that might be available to help you...I can ask him if he knows of anyone!

He doesn't do creepy things like go through your underwear drawer does he? I would draw the line there.

No, he doesn't steal underwear, eat food, or order PPV porn...at least not yet! For Greecies that love ghost stories, every year since 2011, Jezebel has had a Scariest Stories contest in which readers tell of real life hauntings. This year, there were almost two dozen really good ones, so they broke them into two separate posts: 10 of the Scariest Stories We've Ever Heard and 11 More of the Scariest Stories We've Ever Heard. Grab some popcorn and turn all of the lights on!

A little off topic, and this should probably come with a content warning about death and grief (Content Note: death, death of parent, grief issues):
As some of you know, my mother passed on August 18th of this year. Ms. Psychic since 2006 over here has heard nothing from her. As in, nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. Even though a reputable medium my dad finally talked to claims she is still in our house, and won't leave until it's time for my father to go, I feel...nothing. And it's not because I'm not trying or that my intuition/psychic skills are failing me, it's just...I feel like my own mother can't or won't connect with me. It is the strangest feeling ever. She was arguably the person I spent the most time with in my life, and nothing is coming through on a spiritual level.
Just had to get that out. Thanks.

My grandpa died two years ago around this time. one of the things that disturbed me was finding a lot of missed calls on my grans mobile from Charlie, that's my grandpa, the date of the missed calls were after he died. There's probably a reasonable explanation for it, but I just couldn't comprehend any at the time I checked. My gran isn't too great at operating her mobile. She can't send text messages no matter how many times I show her. I was plenty spooked anyway.

Still no word from Mom, except in a couple of dreams, but I don't think they were the 'communicate with ghosts' kind. This is killing me. I hate to ask, but is anyone here a medium? If so, PM me, please.

Smilla, not sure if this helps, but I was always pretty sensitive to things growing up and so was my mom. When she died, I was glad I never heard from her. To me, it meant she was at peace.
