Normally, I don't care about these things, but my dog used to have this weird habit of staring into the corner of my bedroom. He appeared to have given up several years ago, but has now started doing it again. He did it for five solid minutes today, until I couldn't take it anymore and shooed him away with a biscuit. Then my cat started staring into the corner. Needless to say, it's creepy.
I wonder if it's possible to exercise a single corner.

Although I'm not averse to new age-y stuff, I was surprised to find my friend unpacking sage that she uses to bless every new apartment. I may do the same.

I know a couple of people who aren't into the woo-woo at all, but sage their houses when they move into a new place.
I felt compelled to sage one place because when I'd looked at it as a prospective tenant, people were still living there and it was apparent they'd outgrown the place; everything was bursting at the seems and there was just a lot of random chaos. I'd grown up in a house like that and didn't want to feel that that same energy was going to prevail in my new home. So, I saged just as a symbolic gesture to mark the transition from their chaos to what I hoped would be a peaceful setting for me. It wasn't that I literally "believed" it would make a difference. I just wanted that ritual, that symbolism. I haven't felt compelled to do that with any other new spaces I lived in, but I wouldn't rule out doing it again.

I wonder if it's possible to exercise a single corner. Shove the treadmill in there? (insert drumroll here) In all seriousness, if it makes you uncomfortable, maybe try a house blessing with a particular focus on that corner? I'm not a believer, but in my honest opinion, if it's something that makes you feel safer and more comfortable it can't hurt to give it shot.

My best friend, the Non Boyfriend Boyfriend, and I were departing Vegas, and stopped off for gas at the Chevron across from the LVH, which used to be the Hilton, on Paradise Road.
Walking in to pay for the place, the entire store felt off and wrong. The air was heavy and oppressive. The lights were... on, but dark, like a few bulbs might have been out. Something just evil and dark lurked there. Even my best friend, who is an Atheist and doesn't believe in any after life, felt something.
We quickly drove out of there and off into the sunset. (Alas not the sunset I still want, but that's another thread.)
Meanwhile, my ghost at home has been very quiet. Just some occasional noises from the kitchen when I'm in the big room. Nothing interesting, or evil.

Okay, this is going in the Ghost/Paranormal Events thread because, well, I'm a dork.
So, as some of you know, I'm working hard to regenerate my creative writing life, and have been steadily churning out fiction, poetry (and one play!) since late last summer. Although I did have some success in 2014, which I was quite happy with, I haven't been able to get a single story or poem accepted for publication anywhere this year.
Yes, I do market research. Yes, my writing is of a publishable quality. Yes, I've been putting everything in proper manuscript format. I'm also more than comfortable with rejection as I spent ten years basically having everything rejected. But I feel there is something...else going on, as strange as that sounds. I think my work is better than ever and I've followed the same submission strategy I did during the 'successful' part of my quest. Even my astrology (strongly) favors publication at this time. Yet, no action.
Does anyone know any curse removal strategies? Seriously?

I...actually hadn't thought of the 'sage the keyboard' option, but I think that could work. Good tip! Oh, and I hope this isn't against the rules, but I started a blog about horror fiction under my pseudonym. It has some of my actual writing on it, critiques of various kinds of horror fiction, and my very bad homemade graphics. It also has, like, 4 readers tops, so I'm hoping Greecie horror junkies can help out there (if you...want.)
