Awwww. Thanks for the support, cool Greecie readers. I love feedback.
Oh, and as an update, I've saged my entire house. (Keyboard included.) The difference is astounding. Highly recommend it for those of you who are able.

Taxi Drivers in Japan are reporting Ghost Passengers in the area of the 2011 Earthquake / Tsunami. Some creepy stories inside.

I typed out the full story, but it disappeared, so here's the condensed version. There's been some strange activity lately in the apartment I've lived in for four years.
Tonight, I patted my mattress in a pattern to get my kitty to jump up with me. I repeated the pattern again and something outside the bedroom copied me as I did it- same pattern but much louder. I've had many paranormal experiences, but they don't usually bother me. This one did. Partner heard same thing, neither of us can explain it, it was definitely inside the apartment, and no one else lives in the apartment. We are not on any medications that could have caused this, we did not drink, etc.
I'm usually pretty cool with strange phenomenon, but this felt like a personal violation. I did not like being mimicked. I know this sounds mild, and probably is compared to some of the other stuff I've brushed off. But something knowing I was going to do something and mimicking me as I did it hit a nerve.
Ugh. Anyone with any experience know how to stop this or if I should be bothered?

Frisky Poptart- 2 years ago, I felt something in my bed with me, and it was disconcerting to say the least. A friend of mine who is psychic suggested the following:
1. Sage your room- especially your bed. 2. Imagine yourself surrounded by a white light. Ground yourself to the earth. 3. Tell the entity to leave. Be firm with your assertion. 4. If you feel/see something after doing steps 1-3, repeat the steps again. You can also clap loudly when speaking.
You can also place salt around your bed frame.
Spirits can try to cypher off your energy... especially if it feels violating. Don't be afraid to tell it to get the hell out of your space!!
Good luck!

Okay, for real...unless you are strongly opposed, I'd scoop up some holy water from somewhere and use that in your space. I'm neither Catholic nor Christian, but I've gotten great results from holy water cleanses in the past.
Otherwise, I like Martini Girl's suggestion, which is generally what I do when clearing out the house (sage, salt, repeat.) Anything animate, however, would require me going the extra mile.

Thanks guys! I do feel that my energy is being zapped, but I also have hypothyroidism, so I usually chalk it up to that. There was a period of time where the activity was really intense, and I did take some protective measures and things quieted down for awhile.
This time, only a few things have happened one of which is that a hairdryer flew across the counter towards me for no reason.
I feel like I tend to absorb energy around me, so I do try to cleanse myself in light- particularly when I wake up and when I go to sleep, but I have been lax about that lately. You can bet I did after that though!
I would like to try the holy water, but am not Catholic, so hopefully I'll be allowed to have some(?) Dumb question- I will research that!
Thanks a lot! I did just yell into the darkness to leave me alone. Hopefully, I will feel normal/at peace soon.

Okay, so my newest strategy for clearing out negative energy in my house has involved a thorough wipedown with a combination of rosemary/sage oil in water followed by immersion in a bath with same. It has provided a total and complete feeling of 'no' against any unwanted influence, as well as generally calmed and soothed me. 'S great. Take that, demons!! (No, seriously, I highly recommend this method of cleansing. Doorways, edges of light fixtures, any place the energy does not feel 'right.')
Especially recommended for you, FP.

Has anyone had an experience with Hawaii's Night Marchers? My aunt told me stories about them when we visited her. They were ancient Hawaiian warriors you could hear but not see, and they would walk right through your house even passing through the walls. If you tried to interact with them, they would force you to march with them, off into another dimension. The stories scared the Sh-t outa me when I was a kid.

When I was eight we lived in Kalama Valley (a suburb of Honolulu near Hanama Bay) I heard those stories and they terrified me. Especially as my room was in the back of the house, with a big bay window, and I looked out on the valley "wall" I guess, so by kid logic if they were going to be in my area...that's where they'd be walking.
