The final blindside was the best. It really was. "Jacklyn, did you vote for who I told you to vote for?" was playing up to the jury, but in the most perfect-for-Survivor way. A big move and letting the jury KNOW it was a big move? Well done, Natalie. That and her win sort of redeemed the season for me. I do continue to roll my eyes when the jury (any jury) call the contestants out on ~lying to them. The game rules specifically challenge people to "outwit" their competitors.

I was happy with the result. Especially since I was nervous that it was going to be a bitter jury. Keith being shocked and hurt he got lied to surprised me a little. But then I remembered how emotional he is.
I'm also glad that couples didn't seem to vote with each other. When I saw Reed's vote (which, really?) I figured Natalie had lost for sure.

I forgive Keith for being upset by the betrayal because he really is a Survivor novice. I don't think he's watched more than one season. Watching him play was kind of adorable because it was nice to watch him grow from being completely bewildered ( what are these "sub-alliances" you speak of?), to actually playing the game toward the end. I read on PTV that Reed voted for Jacklyn to ensure she'd place second, above Missy. Yes, it's punitive and vindictive, but it's Missy we're talking about.

The final blindside was the best. Very happy Natalie won.I do have a problem with allowing Missy to stay in the game. They even put a hard cast on her foot. That's just not right. They took others players out of the game for lesser injuries.Peeves me off. Probst said on Entertainment Weekly that they let her stay because it was so close to the end, basically just a few days. If it had happened earlier in the game, they would have forced her to leave. I wasn't a Twinnie fan on Amazing Race, but I'm really pleased that Natalie won. She played a great game.

I wonder also if an injured player can stay after the jury begins rather than before (assuming it’s not dangerous to their health), because their inability to compete only affects their own game, rather than the entire tribe.

Suvivor Paley Exhibit in Los Angeles. They also talk up the new season as possibly the best one ever. And when Probst talks it up, he's usually right. A very good sign!

We have 2 hours of show tonight, which I was thinking must mean a dull obvious cuts, but really must mean no show next week because of basketball.
For the record I have:
Joaquin, Mike, Tyler, Shirin
in the AVClub Pool.

That was deeply, deeply satisfying.
Now Shirin can stop wandering around camp butt nekkid, thinking she's running the whole game.

Rodney .GIF I knew someone would create one. His face was priceless last night. Joaquin was in my Final 4, so that hurt. They're not the most likeable group, yet I am much more compelled by this group than last season, who were not fun and not likeable. Jenn and Mike are getting very very good edits. Hmmm...
