I missed the ep. Can someone give a pencil sketch of what happened of consequence, and who was voted off?

Family visit. Amanda won the reward, taking Denise and her husband, and Todd and his sister on an excursion. There was some talk of booting Todd. Peih-gee won immunity and Erik's torch was snuffed.

With James gone, I want Denise to win. If that doesn't happen, maybe Todd will survive till the end. At least I have his paranoia to amuse me, because the rest bore me silly.

Actually, it was Denise and her husband who won the reward challenge and Denise picked Amanda and Todd to go along. Peih-gee tried to get Denise to switch sides and vote out Todd rather than Erik. She was considering it, but ended up voting out Erik instead. If she had voted for Todd, it would have created a tie, rather than a definite elimination, so I understand why she didn't do it. If Todd had somehow stayed, she would have had a big target on her. This way, she'll at least make it to final four and can maybe find a way to get to final three, although the rest of the people in her alliance want her out before final three, because they think she'll have a better shot of winning against them when it comes to the jury.


I kind of like this season, because they're generally playing strategically, rather than being vile and hateful personalities. Courtney is the only one left who I don't like and she really hasn't bothered to play much, one way or the other. She's been the most emotional of them and hasn't really seemed to take strategy into consideration.

Thanks for the correction, biondetta. I don't know how I mixed that up - the Peih-gee/ Denise conversations were a big part of the dynamic. I think Denise must win immunity at the F4 vote or there's no way she'll make it to the final 3, because like you said, the jury would probably favor her.

Also, Todd's sister told him that their other sister had miscarried her baby, and Courtney, Erik, and PG wondered whether he was pulling a Johnny Fairplay "dead grandma" stunt. Courtney, in particular, was pretty vile about it, making fun of Todd being a drama queen.

Courtney has just been a vile person since the first episode. She's just baggage they are towing along until they have no need for her vote anymore.

As vile as Courtney is, I enjoy every moment she's on screen. That girl is entertainment.

And as shallow as it is, I just cannot get past Denise's mullet. I read somewhere that she keeps it short in the front for her lunch lady job and "party in the back" to look "sexy" for her husband. I don't know about you guys, but when I see a mullet, the LAST thing I think is, "ooh, sexy". That said, I do like Denise and hope she goes fairly far, because she does seem like a nice person. However, I don't think she's necessarily playing strategically, so I don't want to see her win.

At this point, I think I'm rooting for Todd. He makes me laugh and he tries to be strategic without being overly mean.

I really don't know how Courtney is managing to stay upright. I think she may win the "skinniest survivor" ever award.
