Seriously, what was Tyra thinking? In that bunch, I see one model/young girl, and that is Allison. If she wanted to do an All-Star season, she should have really looked a the shelf life of these contestants. It is really hard to get into the show, because when it comes down to the elimination, I think cut them all and give it to Allison.

To be fair, though, even the models in the regular cycles are way too old to be starting modeling careers. But Lisa...just yikes.

(Also, I hope it doesn't seem like I'm trolling this thread--I just don't usually contribute to the snark because everyone else says it better than I can, so I end up only posting quasi-arguments.)

They might be too old to START, but there are some that could get work. They would have just had a late start in modeling. There's nothing wrong with that, and they can still work in the industry. However, this crop of chicks, with the exception of Allison and Laura, are long in the tooth and look it. That is such a crime to fool them into thinking they have a chance in modeling.

Also, Allison's music video (which they said was the best) had AWFUL cinematography and over-exposure.

I think artistically the over-exposure look is beautiful. I shot a music video the same way. Of course, it was a student project, but it was so cool looking. I say to myself.

Oh, I love over-exposure and frequently shoot my still photos a stop or two overexposed, I just thought it was just really poorly done in the music video itself. I like the technique but not the execution.

The prevailing thought coming out of that clip show: Bianca is a damn pill, and is just unattractive. I've seen a lot of praise for her amazing model-ly looks, but all I see is a shitty attitude and her big huge mouth. I mean, she has a HUGE mouth! And it's ugly. ?

Hey, Bre has a part as the salon receptionist on Tyler Perry's new show "For Better or Worse". All she's gotten to say so far is "Hold, please" but it's still her.

This is funny because, as I was watching the clip show, I was thinking how gorgeous Bianca really is. Then again, I seem to think larger mouths are more attractive, generally. It just goes to show how beauty really is in the eye of the beholder! (She's still a pill, though).

I think exaggerated features photograph better, like Bianca's big mouth and Allison's big eyes.

Yeah, I think Bianca is absolutely beautiful (but you couldn't pay me enough to spend more than ten minutes with her). Definitely agree with large features photographing well, plus I do think Bianca is a good model (well, at least for this show. I'm less sure of what she'd look like next to actual models.).

What. The. Fuck. What the hell is going on? Every time I think Tyra's ego couldn't get any bigger she proves me wrong. Now we've got her craptastic high school film student "motion editorial."

And now we've got a final three where the only model in the bunch doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning (and they trotted out the ol' "no personality" chestnut they fall back in when they've got someone they want to get rid of but have no good reason to do so). The winner is either going to be Angelea or that old crone Lisa. What horseshit.


The only good part is the way you can tell ALT is sooooo over this shit. He can't wait to run out the door (he didn't even applaud Tyra's stupid movie).

Agree with everything you said kostgard. I've stuck with the show through some questionable winners (Whitney, Saleisha, etc) and Tyra's increasingly obnoxious personality on the show. But old, crazy Lisa and puffy, unstable Angelea in the final 3? I get that she wanted to emphasize personality with the whole branding aspect, but shouldn't she have picked people with likable ones?

I'm clinging to the hope that they were trying to make it less obvious that Allison is going to win. But I'm not counting on it.

After this fuckery and the addition of Kelly Cutrone next season, I may finally be out and I've watched the show from Day 1.
