Weren't the Cyclists the ones partying it up outside a pub in Ireland earlier in the season? That might also contribute to their outside status with the majority of the teams.

But the cyclists tried to get others to join them in the fun, I thought, and they got turned down, so it's not like they have always tried to avoid the others. I guess there's just a lot that's not being shown.
As for the surfers, I want to like them more, and I do think it's awesome that the girl doesn't seem to let anything stop her, but I just can't get behind them, because her voice drives me crazy. I know it's a stupid thing, and if they win the whole thing, I will be more than happy for them, but her voice ...

I don't think I've ever heard them raise their voices this whole race.

I would not be disappointed to see any of the remaining teams -- except the wrestlers, who veer from harmless and fun to whiny and vindictive -- win this thing. I'd say that the dentists are the sharpest and most physical team, but Bethany and Adam are tough as nails and so kind to each other. I'm constantly amazed by what Bethany can do with one arm that others have trouble managing with two.

I have to agree about her voice. They bug me only in that they are far too laid back for the race. Which of course means they'll probably win.

I'll preface this by saying that I really like Bethany and her husband buuuuuuut, their complete lack of charisma shows that they were only cast for her backstory. It's in start contrast to the other teams who, like them or not, are a bit more compelling (except maybe the sweet scientists, who are not a black hole, but aren't super engaging). Still, I'd be happy for them to win, because they're good racers, but I don't need to see their interviews. They make me sleepy.

I wouldn't call them villains, but Brooke sure has turned into an asshole the last two episodes.
ETA-- When choosing between two detours, if one seems infinitely easier than the other, it’s probably too good to be true. Who wouldn’t rather get a massage over harvesting crab meat, while some idiot clangs cymbals in your face? But that wasn’t a massage. Those were human rights violations that probably fail to meet the standards of the Geneva conventions. How are you going to beat me, then remove several layers of dermis, all before sticking me with steaming hot cups, and call that a “massage”?! I’m pretty sure that’s how we get suspected terrorists to confess in Gitmo.

...and the other CBS Aging Reality TV Series concludes tonight, buried on Friday.
We still have 4 teams, 1 of whom will be eliminated before the finale, taking place in exotic Los Angeles, California.
Personally, outside the Ugly American stuff in the Philippines, the Wrestlers have been the most entertaining for me this year (plus, you know, that body of his!) so I'm kind of rooting for them to fall backwards into first place. But the Dentists and the Soul Surfers will be acceptable wins. The scientists just haven't been entertaining / competitive / amusing to win.

Yeah I'd be pretty disappointed if the scientists won. Not because I don't like them, I do...from what I've seen of them. But I feel like we've barely seen them. They had no storyline at all the first 2/3rds of the season. And if they go on to win I would be very disappointed in the poor editing.

On the Survivor finale on Wednesday, Probst said that Survivor would premiere on Feb 25 and be followed by the premiere of The Amazing Race. Is TAR moving to Wednesdays?
