Yikes! Good on her for managing to do some tough tasks at the end when she was truly injured and go on to win. Suck it, Brooke!

And it turned out they would have lost anyway. There's no second or third place prize on TAR, and when you drive down the highway for a long period of time in the WRONG direction you will lose. How did they manage that? The guy told them which roads to go on and drew it on the map.

(Found at the bottom of Page 3)
I'm conflicted. Some of these blind date guys are really hot, but the selfie / Bachelor-esque stuff is kinda annoying and definitely distracting from the purity of the game. But some of these guys are really hot. I'm conflicted.
The couple who got eliminated on Friday's show were so blase about it that I'm not sure they were in a race.
On a plus note, Japan looks absolutely beautiful!

I didn't hate the premise as much as I thought I would, but the selfies and the harping straight out of the gate about "is it true love yet" is a bit much. At least most of the couples seem to be more into the racing than Bachelor elements. Though the nurse/doctor pairing was both awful and hilarious, as she seemed a bit more into the whole "dating" part and he seemed kind of horrified by her. I haven't seen the second episode yet, though.

Usually when they fly somewhere else, they get bunched up again, but the NKOTCouple's Block never really had a chance, and that speed bump looked much more complicated than they said it was.
I'm positive that the curly haired guy in one of the couples has not been there before, because, um, I would have noticed him.

When I realized the New Kids couple was on a different flight, I figured they had no chance, and yeah, that speed bump seemed awfully complicated, especially since I remember the very first speed bump being nothing more than sitting somewhere for 10 minutes. I was never New Kids fan, but I was actually sorry to see them go.
The doctor/nurse couple continues to amuse, though I like the nurse much more now. She's still talkative, but from what we've seen, I actually don't blame her for getting frustrated with the guy. He seems to ignore her suggestions and in the end it has caused delays. Not sure if either was particularly right on this episode, but they seemed to handle things better than the lawyer couple did this episode! And how can you be deathly afraid of cats?!

Mr. S. and I are just catching up after I got back from a trip, and we were thoroughly disappointed to see the New Kids couple knocked out -- they were lots of fun and so sweet together.

Amsterdam! Klompen! Fietsen! Sjoelen! Rijksmuseum! I was actually happy to see the sjoelen game. It really is a lot of fun, especially with a bunch of friends. It's difficult, because those openings are all slightly different widths, so the 1 is wider and easier to get than the 4.

I liked the episode last night, and that sjoelen game looked really fun. I'm sort of glad it was non-elimination, as Matt and Ashley have grown on me. They're just always so supportive of each other. And Haley continues to be the stereotypical shrew. If I were 10 years younger, I'd try to connect with Blair because he's cute, smart, and has the patience of a saint.

Blair strikes me as the type who might be a nitpicking, one-upping nightmare in his natural habitat, but on the Race, paired with Haley, he's an object of pity. When they gave the interview at the beginning in which they seemed to be getting along, I just knew that either they were going to fall in love on this ep or end up at each other's throats. Occam's Razor won out. Do you suppose she's this shrill and haranguing in real life? Nursing is a stressful job -- can you imagine her pulling this stuff on a unit full of pediatric cancer patients?
