TV Guilty Pleasures

Summer reruns have reminded me how much I love watching those crappy WifeSwap shows. (or is it Trading Spouses, whichever one is on ABC on Mondays). They're so bad and so cheesey but I will watch it with this whole big sigh of nothing else being on but the truth is I'm hooked.

Ummm.... for some reason, if I am channel surfing and happen on one of these shows on MTV I cannot. change. the. channel. They are both so incredibly stupid and scripted, but I can't not watch. What IS it about MTV "reality" shows that makes them such viewer-crack?

Recently? Pepper Dennis reruns. If you wander to the Movie Unpopular Opinions/Guilty Pleasures threads, then you will know that I am Rebecca Romjin's beyotch. I have SUCH a crush on her. Which makes no sense, being gay and all. But yeah, she owns me.

Even ignoring my bizarro crush, I actually think she has killer comic timing and is a great actress former moderling career taken into account.

Uhm, yeah...I watch too. I also can't turn off "Date My Mom" and "Made". Curses on MTV! I resisted them in my teen years--and now in my late 20's I watch?

I can't stop watching Girls of the Playboy Mansion.
That looks like such a fun, if completely dysfunctional, lifestyle to have.

I've become a Reba-aholic. Its sad. I rented the first 2 seasons on dvd and now I can't stop. So embarassing.

My favorite GSN show is the classic What's My Line. I get so into it. Like I get unreasonably annoyed at Bennett Cerf. I'm not sure why.

I came very close to buying The Golden Girls on DVD...I still LOVE this show! The sweet (or sad) thing is, I almost had my husband on board for buying the damn things.

To this very day, I attribute everything I learned about sex to my Prince albums, Three's Company and The Golden Girls. I want to be Blanche when I'm a geezer.

I'm sorry, but how is liking The Golden Girls a guilty pleasure? That show is awesome! Full stop. I spent last weekend getting drunk with friends and watching GG. One of the friends was a guy and he really thought it was funny.

I will never feel guilty for liking the sassy ladies on The Golden Girls.

I guess my guilty pleasure is that I'm finally starting to like SpongeBob Squarepants. Damn, I've been babysitting 2nd graders too long.

I got hooked on Spongebob Squarepants when I was living in Bratislava. It was one of the few TV shows in English. That and Wildboyz, another guilty pleasure of mine.
