And unlike most of the garbage that's on I don't know anyone who will admit they even watch it.

It's actually still being made. I moved to Chicago in 2003 and my husband and I and some friends got tickets as a joke. They all went but I had a job interview and couldn't go. Afterwards I asked what the topic was an my husband said "Fat chicks, without shirts, hating people. Yelling. I don't know"
Also, a friend of mine had an interview there in April for an Assoc. Producer job. Would have paid like $75k but she'd have had to work a minimum of 60 hours. For the interview she had to bring in a list of show topic ideas. She called me and I gave her such fabulously intelligent topics as: -My pregnancy won't stop me from stripping. -Love me, love my sister -My girlfriend is my grandma's age -I want to be a carnie -Pocket Sized Lovers (midgets)
Back on topic, If I were a millionaire, I would buy the TLC network and take off Trading Spaces within an hour. I hate that show.

Same here! And the weird thing is that I used to LOVE that show to the point of planning my day around it. Then, suddenly: HATE! With no obvious trigger or anything just love, love, love, HATE!

I have never adjust to the fact that cars are no longer 5-7K as they were on the Price is Right in the late 70s, early 80s. Did you know that Bob Barker is 82? My God, he's gonna live forever. And I bet he's still feeling up the Barker Babes, esp. the unwilling ones.

Elderly people and kids love it. My kids watch it with their grandparents all the time. They know all the games and everything about it and play along and yell at the TV. (I really should not be telling you guys this)One of our neighbours brought her mother to L.A. for her 80th birthday to the Price is Right. They never got called down. She said it was a whole boring day for one show. She bought my son a T-shirt and whenever he wears it people stop him all excited and ask him if he was on the show. It cracks me up.

I've always wondered - could you refuse a prize? Or take the monetary equivalent? Cuz what if you lived in a tiny apartment and accidentally won a whirlpool? Would you have to take it? Do they deliver it or are you stuck trying to bring it home? What about the prize taxes (which is something like 42%)? What if you can't afford to pay them? Do you have to sell your prize if you can't afford it at the end of the year? Why, Bob? Why?

I used to watch a lot of Real World/Road Rules Challenge shows, and a lot of the participants put their prizes (vacations, mopeds, etc.) up for auction or sale after the show aired.

I hate anything on MTV. I guess because I was young (19) when it came on and I was hooked on it, it just seems like a steamin pile o' to me any more. I will say though, my kids love the damn channel. "Bring back strictly videos", is what I say!

If you have digital cable, you have to watch VH1 Classic. They play all the videos I grew up with. They have a metal hour and an alternative hour. It is what MTV was like. The best part, they barely have commercials.
