her only comment was "The cup is a dick." I read this about 10 minutes ago, and I keep laughing every time I think about it--which has been every 40 seconds or so.

Is it me, or have the programs on Adult Swim (particularly late Sunday night and early Monday morning) become more raunchy?

Bumping this thread up to ask if anyone can explain to me what in the HELL 12 Oz. Mouse is about. I keep watching it, thinking that eventually a pattern will emerge and it'll all make sense. I mean, even the nonsense absurdity of SeaLab made sense in the SeaLab universe!
Robot Chicken is the best fifteen minutes on tv. It's hilarious and appaling at the same time, which is just how I like my humor.
Also, I know it's wishful thinking, but I really wish Adult Swim would pick up Pirates of Dark Water, a cartoon show I was obsessed with in the early 90's (surely I'm not the only one). It's been 12 years since that show went off the air, and I still want to know what happened to Octopon! Do you hear me, Adult Swim?

12 Oz. Mouse is about a bunch of people smoking a whole lot of pot, then doing as many line drawings as they can before it wears off. The show makes Sealab's writing process look straight-edge by comparison.
Given that creative motif, at least they are internally consistent. Dialogue only makes sense to the person who speaks it, and then only while they are speaking. "Plotlines" jump around without continuity, resolution, or any kind of attention span.
OTOH, I really liked the new Venture Brothers episode. Good way of working in almost every possible theory as to how they would deal with the brother's death at the end of last season, while still keeping you guessing as to which theory would win out.

I can't believe I just discovered this. What the hell have I been doing the last few years?
Favorites: Venture Brothers, Moral Orel, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Robot Chicken, Squidbillies, and Boondocks.
I just bought the Venture Brothers Season 1 as there has been a THREE MONTH wait list for it on Netflix. Now I'm getting into Season 2 halfway and I have no idea how Dean and Hank were resurrected - can someone please PM me? "Trial of the Monarch" and "Are you There God?It's Me, Dean" together are the funniest hour of TV I've seen in some time.
Moral Orel is sick in a wonderful way. The episode with "Number 3" and his twisted belief of how to solve his problem? Genius!
Squidbillies is getting a 2nd season -starting September 17th, which makes me very happy.

Hank and Dean are clones, and have died about 17 times. Each time Dr. Venture just brings them back.

I just got into Robot Chicken. I'm pleased with it, but not spectacularly impressed. Fifteen minutes seems just right for it. I first saw it on YouTube; it seems more at home there, somehow.
What I really like is Saul of the Mole Men -- a perfect parody of mid-70s Sid & Marty Krofft shows, complete with those cheesalicious video effects.
They should pick up ALL those 1980s shows. I'm still missing Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Jayce was a hottie. And then there was Thundarr... and wasn't there one about some Native American soldier who was transported to another planet? Blackhawk or something?

BlackStar, actually. There were certainly enough post-apocalyptic sword and sorcery cartoons back then, weren't they? I guess the combination of Mad Max and The Day after made quite an impression. Ariel! Ookla! Tonight we ride!
