Breaking Bad. Gus. Box cutter. That scene hooked me on the entire show. The man didn't say a word, and it was terrifying.
ER really knew how to deliver a gut punch, didn't they?

Gary getting hit by a car and killed just as Nancy got the news that she was cancer-free on Thirtysomething.
Also, not shocking, per se, but I adored when George Clooney came back for a cameo when Julianne Margulies was leaving ER, thus giving Doug and Carol a happy ending.

On OZ, Beecher killing Schillinger after Keller switched the prop blade with a real one. And later, when Keller fell over the railing when he and Beecher were arguing.

"Mizumono," the season 2 finale of Hannibal. The world's worst murder-husband break-up with a lot of Hamlet thrown in. That was one of the best things I had ever seen on television; it just blew my mind to pieces.
