Yes, that article was great. I especially liked the stuff about the diner bell being a death knell. Still haven't seen the finale, and am unspoiled for the rest of the second half of the final season, other than who is/isn't whacked (simply who, not how or why). But that article has restored my faith in David Chase. Here's hoping he gets a new project soon.

The Orange Tabby Army would officially like to claim responsibility for the death of Tony Soprano.
Great article, but he didn't mention anything about Meadow not being able to parallel park. I still don't understand what that was about other than building tension.

Well, if you believe that Tony gets whacked and maybe Carm or A.J. too, then Meadow's inability to parallel park wasn't just a device to build tension. It may have been Chase's way of saying that Meadow was the only one who deserved to live, or the only one who had an outside chance of getting out of the mob life.
I think some of the article was overreaching, but I agree that the repeated line from Soprano Home Movies about how "you never hear it coming" was too much of a coincidence.

That article annoyed me. Too pretentious. Plus, I feel like if I look at the final episode of 7th Heaven I could create some symbolic mumbo jumbo that says that they all died in the RV. It's like a horoscope. You find what you look for.

I agree Jensational, that article was so damned annoying. Look, some people believe Tony died, some people believe it was a shitty cop out of an ending making way for the inevitable movie. Either side is going to skewer the points to favor the outcome they want to see. Some of that tripe was so over-dissected that it was almost comical.

That was pretty awesome. And YAY for using Johnny Sack! I'm watching the reruns on A&E and man, I love him. Agreed. Caught the A&E reruns last night of the eps when Johnny wanted the hit put out on Ralphie for making the 90lb mole on Ginny's ass joke. Priceless television!

There is a difference in having discussions about the show and finale and nitpicking it to death. In my opinion that article moved into the nitpicking to death, over-dissection category. Hell if a roll of Bounty papertowels had been shown at any point I feel they would have said "this roll represents the ever present bounty on the head of a Mafia boss. The quilted squares are there to show the depths of absorbancy of the therapy within Tony's subconcious. Blah blah blah"
As always YMMV.
