I realize I'm about a million light years behind the rest of the free world, but I finally saw the last season of Sopranos.
By the end of the season I really didn't care if Tony lived or died. Nothing he'd done in the previous seasons made me loathe him as much as what he did to Chris. I didn't even like Chrissy. But first Tony and the other guy) complain that Chris won't drink with them, but then Tony kills him because he's gone back to drinking and doing drugs??? WTF?
And that blackout ending? really sucked. I would have been okay with it, if they hadn't spent 5 minutes building up to something happening. It was a cheap cop out.
Okay thanks for the chance to rant!

I realize I'm about a million light years behind the rest of the free world, but I finally saw the last season of Sopranos. Same here! CTV just had an "end the year with a bang, Sopranos-style" marathon. I saw the finale last night and totally hated it - cursing at the TV, "WTF? Is this a joke?" and everything. But now "Don't Stop Believing" is stuck in my head and, the more I think about it, the more I am actually loving the ending. I agree with the people who think that Tony got shot in the head by the Bathroom Dude just as he was looking up at Meadow coming into the diner. Makes perfect sense. End of his consciousness = sudden blackout and silence. I did - Christophuh was my favorite. And I don't even know why. Maybe because he knew just how messed up he was. The kitteh, however, was THE best part of it all. I'm so glad that stupid Paulie didn't off him. I was so afraid he would. Yay, kitteh! You rule!

Bumping because HBO2 is airing The Sopranos as a week-long marathon--it started yesterday (1/4) and will run until the 10th.
Mr. d and I had forgotten how hilarious the dialogue could be on this show--so much darkness, but so much funny, too...
