Ooh, or Knots Landing! That was my all-time favorite night-time soap. I loved Mac and Karen, Gregory Sumner and Laura. Nicollette Sheridan was so beautiful then as Paige. Sumner probably was my fave, tho; William Devane was just awesome in that role.

Isn't this show playing on some cable channel somewhere? Are there DVDs---legitimate ones?
I'm surprised that Miss Linda Evans is not out there showing all the benighted ones that one can swap spit with an AIDs victim (Rock Hudson) and yet still survive. Well, she was the Pure one. Miss Doris Day swapped spit with Mr. Hudson, too. I guess that there is an argument to be made for purity celibacy.
And wasn't there a TV movie about the producers of this show?

Chatchien, yes, ABC did a TV movie about the Behind the Scenes dealings of the show. I really wanted to watch it, but I missed all of it except the last 15 minutes. I think a big element of the TV movie was that "Dynasty" paralleled the phases of the economic cycle the US went through in the 1980s. Or something like that.
So what were the plotlines that the show decided were such major mistakes the show just abandoned them and pretended they never happened? Something about Moldova?

That was John James. I assisted in casting a summer stock season where he was a headliner (seriously); he did South Pacific and several others, I think.
