I think this would be right place for this thread. This documentary "Inside 9/11" is currently running on National Geographic as a 2 part special. I've DVR'd the entire thing but have only watched part 1. All I can say is CREEEEPEEEE! It's very chilling to understand that these terrorists are incredibly patient people and the hatred they have for us is so very deep that I don't doubt for one second that the next time we hear from them it will be much bigger than the last time. It's truly terrifying. It's also interesting and not too comforting to learn the many ways our government had dropped the ball along the way. They are either very arrogant or very ignorant at times. Probably both.

Is this the thing w/ the reenactments? My friend watched it last night, I think. There is no way I could watch something like that. I would have nightmares for months.

Creepy is right, although I have to say the part I find the strangest is where the ticket agent that checked in Mohammed Atta says that he looked at him and Atta seemed to be just seething with hate and contempt and he thought to himself, if this guys doesn't look like a terrorist I don't know who does. Later he hears the plane that Atta is on has been crashed and the guy feels guilty for "jumping to conclusions" about Atta. If that had been me I would have kept that one in the vault until my dying day.

I'm not sure if this is the same one. I know there are a few on right now. I don't know if there are reenactments in part 2 of this. There weren't too many in Part 1. This basically looks at the planning that went into the attacks. The earlier attempts at blowing up the World Trade Center. The recruitment efforts from the radical Islamic terrorist groups that continue to go right in front of our faces under the guise of charitable sounding organizations. Like "Islam Charities for Peace." I made that one up, but they use very non-threatening names like that and have their meetings all over the place in the US right under our noses. They are so patient in their planning. There was comment from Osama Bin Laden that I cannot remember Verbatim, but it was basically him stating that they would win this war and would destroy us for the simple fact is not only do they not fear death but actually look forward to it, and we are terrified of death. It was just really scary to realize their determination
