THE MIZ! BWHA HA HA HA HA!!! Well, I liked the mystery they had to solve- but it was done in a dull way (If Dean's going to feed everyone Holy Water laced tequila shots in a fun party atmosphere, why not show us that?) And why is Hell so boring even with Lucifer back in the mix? Last time Luci was top side, literally all Hell broke loose. Whole towns got wiped off the map. Now he just plays 'fetch doggy' with Crowley and Candy Crush on a demon tablet. Ho Humm! Yeah no one's closer to getting Amara... but she's not doing any real damage herself these days so who cares. Sigh. There was potential this season, but as usual it's already squandered.

For a co-called Big Bad, Amara is a damp squib. That chick who was murdering Sully's friends was more menacing.
However, Sam did get some screen time, lines and was allowed to interact with the guest star, so that alone makes it better than Seasons 8 - 10.

Well it looks as if they're finally getting back to the 'main plot' after weeks of MOTW episodes. Too bad I prefer the MOTW.

Chuck is god and nobody posts on this thread. Sad. Just cancel it already.

Well I was going to say that everything they showed last episode was what the fans had been begging for for years. The problem was... that wait was TOOOOO many years. I figured Chuck would be back in one form or another since Rob kept showing up in on set pics I saw floating around. Of course, Richard's almost always there too and they haven't brought Gabriel back as more than a dream sequence.
But the amulet? The time to whip that thing out was at the end of Season 5 when Sam needed to take his body back from Lucifer. Instead, green army man we'd never heard of does the trick... ummm ok... They still could have whipped it out and had it make sense in the next few seasons. But half a decade later? Amulet? Oh yeah, that thing. Yawn!

It's been renewed for season 12. The WB boss is on record as being a fan of the show, so it's not going anywhere as long as Jared and Jensen want to bleed it dry.
I wonder why Jared and Jensen keep going? I know it's nice to have a steady job as an actor, but it seems that they are losing out on other opportunities. Jensen said at a con this weekend that he was approached to play a role in Deadpool and the producers of 50 Shades came to visit him at his house about the lead role. He admitted he didn't pursue either role because of his Supernatural schedule. I guess the question is do you strike while the iron's hot or stick with the sure thing.

They keep going because they both know that they'll drop off the face of the earth the minute the show ends.

Aww, I think they're both talented. They can have solid B-list careers. But they need to step away from the teat already.
Edited to add that I actually liked that last episode. Felt like something finally happened.

There is definite interest in them from Hollywood. Jensen and Jared have both been considered for roles outside of Supernatural. To hear them tell it it's their Supernatural schedule that gets in the way of them pursuing other things. My fear for them is that the longer they are on Supernatural, the more likelihood that those other parts will dry up. Even if that happens, I could see them doing ensemble shows or at the very least doing Lifetime or Hallmark movies.

Spoilers ahoy!!
I found this past episode entertaining. I don't give a crap about the overarching storyline, what Amara's up to or what that means for the world. But I like this new prophet and his whining about wishing he could still be an Atheist. Plus the car chase with new prophet and Cassifer sliding around from every sharp turn was fun. But was Amara really about to blow Baby off the map along with her passengers? Not the best way to get in Dean's pants, lady!
That said, I was bummed they brought Kevin back just to send him packing two seconds later. At first I thought Chuck/God was turning him into an angel. But nope. No Osric Chau for us! And I'm not super fond of God!Chuck as he's being presented here. I liked Prophet!Chuck much better. God!Chuck is more bossy than commanding. And he uses up all the hot water and puts his feet on the table. I expect better manners from a supreme being! And at first I thought they were saying that God took over Chuck when he felt like coming back from hiding or whatever. Now, it sounds more like they're telling us Chuck was God all along. I'm definitely not feeling that! Chuck learning he was a Prophet and then bewailing lack of toilet paper in the future was what made him endearing. God in disguise all along makes wipes all Chuck's adorable cluenessness away. Plus, that means God dated BECKY!!! BLERRRGH!!! No, just No!
All that said, I like the actor, Rob who plays Chuck/God in whatever incarnation. I like most of the folks they hire and the chemistry they all have with one another (which is why Osric's two second cameo was so disappointing for its brevity) I just think the Show sucks as it is. But maybe if things don't pan out for the actors once SPN is done (and seriously, guys, it needs to be done like yesterday!) they can work out some kind of deal where they have all the same folks but in a new show ala American Horror Story. Switch things up, but keep the same cast in rotating parts. Or they could have a Carol Burnett style variety show. Singing, musical instruments, comedy sketches, hidden talents, Misha cooking with kids! Hey, I'd watch!! :-). Seriously, the stuff they do in between filming is the way more entertaining than the show itself!
