Did anyone else catch the pilot? I was really impressed. But I like horror movies.
It looks like it's going to be the X-files for the Steven King crowd. Two brothers, Sam (Jared Padalecki, "Gilmore Girls") and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles, "Smallville), witness their mother's paranormal death it makes their a bit unhinged and he turns his sons into warriors of sorts, hunting evil in the search for the killer of his wife/their mother. The youngest, Sam, tries to get away from the family business, but is pulled in.
I really liked it -- it totally has the atmosphere of a good B horror flick with hot men. I’m excited watching the unfolding of the story as to what killed the mom and why.
Spoiler:It totally has to have something to do with Sam since both women died over his bed/crib and the evil entity had a chance to kill him but did not.

I watched it and liked it as well. I'm guessing each week they are going to "solve" some sort of urban legend type thing while trying to find the dad and what killed the mom.
I agree with your spoiler. That's what I thought of as well after the final scene of the episode.

I wasn't as impressed. I think it has potential. Maybe it was the fact that I'd heard that Woman In White ghost story countless times through the years so it was all just a little too Urban Legendy for me. But the whole dead chick bursting into flames above the bed thing is interesting. And I'm eager to see what's up with the dad.
I'll give it another chance but I think it could have been a stronge premiere. I try not to judge premiere episodes because they always need to set up so much exposition that it's not until the third episode that a show seems to hit a stride. I liked Prison Break in ep 1 but I've grown pretty tired of it so I am fairly confident that I will grow to like this one.
I've never found Dean all that cute from Gilmore Girls but I am a huge fan of the kid from Days of Our Lives so I'll watch him for the pretty.

It didn't suck. However, it will die a quick death going against The Amazing Race.

I liked it, but agree that the time slot sucks ass. I'm excited to see where they take the story and like the idea of the overall arc.
Also, Jensen Ackles (older brother Dean) is puuuuurty.

Bump. I just got my Season 1 DVD today and it came with a bonus disc (a Q & A with the cast and crew at Television and Radio's Paley festival). This show is my not-so-guilty pleasure. If you haven't seen it before, watch it tonight at 9 on WB (or CW or whatever it is now). The boys bring the pretty, and I think Jensen Ackles is a pretty good actor. Anyone else buy Season 1?

I'm a pretty big Supernatural fan. Witness the Dean Winchester avatar.
I bought the DVD set through Amazon so I don't think I'm getting the Paley disc, but that's all right. It's sitting at my house right now, waiting for me to get it.
I love the show, flaws and all. I am amused by the fact that the acting is probably this show's strongest point. Jensen Ackles is really good, and I mostly tolerate Jared Padalecki. The relationship between the brothers, and then the brothers and their father, is riveting while the writing often makes me want to throw my remote at the TV.
I don't watch the show and expect the same quality as, say, early seasons of The West Wing, but hot guys, awesome weapons, a kick-ass car, and a classic rock soundtrack? Appointment television for me.

Earlier in this thread I wrote that I wasn't impressed but it has potential. One season later and it's on my list of shows to continue watching for the fall. I agree that it has some flaws but the good stuff makes up for it.

Just bought this last week on dvd and am loving it. I was pretty inconsistent with viewing it last year, so the dvd's are perfect for me. T.V. shows fair much better without commercials and without a week wait between episodes.
p.s. Jenson Ackles is HOT
