I'm kind of glad that daddy's dead. He bugged. I like seeing the two boys interact much more than watching the dad.
However, I'm quite sure there will be some future problems resulting from the fact that a deal with a demon saved Dean's hot little life.

I agree with that; but I don't think Dean knows about the deal yet. I think this season is going to be dark, Dean's going to be so broken about his dad dying, he idolized the man. BTW, Dean looked HOT in that white tee shirt.

I was definitely impressed with "In My Time of Dying." I agree with the poster who said the acting on the show is it's biggest selling point. I usually don't care for Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but I thought all three of the guys brought their A-game.
I loved the "Paging Dr. Kripke" bit.

Dr. Freude, that was me, and "In My Time of Dying" definitely proved it. I wasn't tearing up or anything, but everyone was great. Even the guy who played The Demon was creepy.
I loved the scene with the ouija board. Well-done.
I'm happy they're going to fix the Impala. There just is no Supernatural without that car.
Is it Thursday yet?

Fredric Lehne, apparently, who did play young Arthur Dales on the X-Files' episodes. I knew he looked familiar. Thanks. I agree that the acting is the show's best point; I also agree that dad kind of changed the dynamics of the show. Dean would change when the father came around and Sam would get defensive. I do think that Dean is going to have a lot to deal with when/if he finds out that his dad traded his life for Dean's. Now if they can just tell us what the amulet Dean wears around his neck means.

He's got 'one of those faces' that are oh so familiar.
