Oh, dear gawd... Lukas, you are a creep, you are a weirdo - but you ain't no Thom Yorke. So stay the hell away from the Radiohead. That was bloody painful.

Who sang "Mother Mother"? I was, uh, busy with my mixing drinks,
No one stood out, AGAIN, so I just voted, AGAIN, for Toby and Ryan for the hotness level.

What a creepy little troll man. forever1267, Jill sang "Mother Mother." And I was hoping she was going to walk out of those unlaced boots—she's ridiculous. And poor Patrice, she needs to be put out of her misery. I still can't believe what a 180 I did on Dilana—the woman is crazy talented. Too bad she'll lose. Then again, it might be the best thing for her. Speaking of crazy, I have warmed to the crazy of Zayra. Sure, she's a preying mantis of a girl, but I was fascinated by the 'performance' of "All the Young Dudes." And by 'fascinated' I mean waiting on the edge of the sofa for her 7'1" top-hat wearing self to topple over on those 15" fetish shoes.

I'm trying to reduce the amount of stupid in my life, so I try to avoid stuff like Rockstar, but Lukas said something remarkably idiotic -- even for him -- last week that I can't seem to find online. Something like... "when you're writing a song you don't want to think it through too much or it'll sound too thought-through."
Can someone help me, for my own, selfish, dump-on-Lukas reasons?
(Never mind: “Songs that you overthink, usually they turn out to be overthought.”)

Not that I really like anyone touching Radiohead, but Marty killed this last season. I almost didn't watch when I found out Mr. Fetal Alcohol Syndrome was doing "Creep", but my morbid curiousity got the better of me as usual. I also agree that Dilana has an amazing "rock" voice. And she seems sweet. Toby is hot, but not as great as I originally thought. Jill just tries too hard. And Patrice looks like a soccer mom that got dressed up as a "rocker", tats and all.

I actually gained a small amount of respect for Lukas last night, just for a second as he belted out the last strong notes on Creep. It just lasted for a moment, and I'm sure I'll hate him again really soon, but just for that moment he seemed quite talented and a bit vulnerable.
I realized last night that Dilana sounded just like Janice Joplin when she sings. It's the low register and the growly smokerishness of her voice, I guess. So she sounds like Joplin and looks like a female Dave Navarro, and she sang last night without humping the guitarist...just give her the prize already.
She really established herself as the ballsy frontrunner by taking the song with Gilby. It was apparent that Supernova realized they were scaring the rockers by making a big a deal about joining the rockers on stage. T.Lee's decision to just join in on a song seemed to be a response decided on after watching the candid footage.
Patrice must go. She doesn't have the voice or demeanor to carry this off. At least Zayra knows that if she can't sing, she can totally rock the weirdo clothing selections. ( Although I really enjoyed All The Young Dudes, mostly because the house band carried the tune for her.)

Yes, Marty did kill it. No one this season comes close to last season, except Dilana. Why was everyone too afraid to touch The Who song? Was it too hard or were they worried about playing with Gilby? Dilana was great. Unfortunately, I think they're going to go with a guy.

Last night, I was thinking Zayra = Rocky Horror Picture Show. Perhaps it was the shoes. Or the hat.

Loving Dilana. Wanted to claw thru the tv and hurt Jill for destroying the brilliant "Mother, Mother." Re: Zayra - I'm all for a totally crazy frontperson, but I think they should be able to carry a tune. When I hear her and Lukas I am reminded of a voice coach who once told me that singing, reduced to its essence, it simply shouting on pitch (or off, in Zayra' case). Thought Ryan and Patrice were ridiculous. I thought Magni was terrific - not an easy tune and he was on pitch the whole way thru. I don't mind Storm but there's no way she can compete with Dilana. And I agree with the guys that Toby was doing fine til he broke out the props.
