Lisa Loeb joins the reality TV bandwagon and sheds her last remnants of indie cred. The Official SiteI kinda liked Loeb's pop rock/folk stuff from the 90's. Sad.

"One-Hit Wonder Seeks 15 More Minutes of Fame" would be a better title.
I don't have anything against Lisa. I just think she is kind of dull. I saw her in concert around 1997 at Lillith Fair. She acted really dorky (sorry, that's the only word for it). She kept telling the audience not to fight with each other, saying "Hey y'all, let's just get along, okay?" about every ten minutes. I don't know why. Anyway, I can't see her having the kind of crazy personality to make this show a hit.
And it's a little sad that her "#1 single" actually came out in 1994.

Didn't this show already air? Or are they doing a second season. I saw a bunch of eps already and Lisa was super annoying. Very overly girly in a ridiculous way. She'd show up for a date with pigtails and have a pink fuzzy purse. Plus, she's hella picky. She'd spend a whole day on her cell phone but one date answered a call and said it was an emergency and he had to cut the date short and she was all eye-rolling and "Well, no more dates with him!"

Yeah, this show aired already. I saw some of the episodes and they weren't too great. She really was annoying. Her voice is too "cutesy" or something. Very overly girly in a ridiculous way. She'd show up for a date with pigtails and have a pink fuzzy purse. Don't forget that awful Snow White skirt!

And the Hello Kitty rice cooker! (OK, it was a gift, but she still was really excited about it.) I also had issues with her letting her pelvic exam be filmed. My god.

It's just starting in Canada. (Damned Canadian networks never run this stuff around the same time. [/Project Runway delayed whine])

I'm glad to see others opinions on it. I saw the first ep in Canada and thought it was awful. She doesn't seem very mature for her age which for some reason surprises me.
Anyway, glad I'm not the only person who isn't taken with this show. And now I know I won't miss anything by skipping the rest of it. Just tell me though, for those who have seen it, does she ever find anyone to date long term or is the whole dating thing a wash from beginning to end?

She does find someone but of course there are problems. Because she CAN'T be happy.
The whole season was just frustrating. She meets with a therapist or something who points out that in her past 2 relationships, they both lasted 6 years each and maybe it's Lisa's fault that she's single now. Which I totally understand. Like I can imagine being in one 6 year relationship and thinking "This might end in marriage, it might not--no biggie" and then have it end and then realize "Wow--I'm almost 30 and all my friends are married and I really want that for myself" so you get involved with someone else. At this relationship if she wanted marriage she should have made him shit or get off the pot after year 3 but she didn't so now she's 40 and is like "I want a baby! I want a husband" Well, I want a million dollars and perfect skin. Welcome to reality.
Plus, her views on relationships and dating are just so tiresome. She gets annoyingly rules-like sometimes. Plus, during that same meeting with the therapist she said something about how she always imagined herself being pregnant at her wedding in a white mini-dress with a veil that has cat ears at the top. I think her dress would also have a tail. The dating therapist was like "UM, that's not a realistic view on life."

We had the first season already here in South Africa (nyah, nyah Canada) and it was all right. I did think all of her "Sex in the City" friends were kind of pathetic. She was all right. She seems sweet, but she can grate.
At some point, you've just got to grow up. She did not get the memo.

She was dating some guy who was an actor, or at least I think he was an actor. It was semi-serious until he wanted her to move to LA with him. I don't know what happened because I didn't see any other episodes after that. But I swear that guy was gay. There was definitely alot of 'pinging' going on. Does anyone else think that, too?
