I stayed home sick from work today. The entire first season marathon was on all day. Hooray! Knowing Jay was the winner I started to watch his designs more closely. I could see hints of his final winning collection in many of his designs throughout the show. Especially the rock 'n roll and futuristic challenges.

Bravo is replaying the premier episode right after the first challenge episode so you can still catch it. Good thing because I missed it while on the phone!

ETA: Oh dear. I'm not sure I like many of these people. It's what I was afraid of. These designers are so over the top. It appears that they selected from some of the more dominant personalitites from last year and just became caricatures of them. So we have several wanna-be Austins, Kevins (although slightly louder), and Jays. But it feels like having a room full of Wendy Peppers.

I can't believe that I felt so bad for Daniel Franco. Last season he was a super-annoying, blissed-out ass. This time around, he was so desperate and freaked out, I just wanted to give him a hug.

And I liked his clothes. The first dress would have looked great if he had fitted it better, and the second outfit was beautiful.

I watched all of the premeire, but fell asleep halfway thru the first challenge. I called it right that the Tye dye guy and the Alabama girl would get booted. My early prediction to take it all is Santino, his green dress out of muslin was stunning. However i feel like they are going to build up Daniel to be the story of the season.

Yes, Santino's dress was beautiful. I thought they were setting up the tie-dye guy to be another Jay. Heavy and quirky. His dress and Ms. Alabama's were the weakest. I'm so glad Daniel didn't get the boot, but he's going to have to step up his game.

The Black women (I'll get the names eventually) was annoying already. Great!

I like the idea of the magnetic dress. Its unfortunate it didnt' work properly.

That girl bugs the crap out of me. She's so mousy. Speak up! Dammit! Also, if you had a full week to work on something, make sure it freakin works. Put it on a dummy or something and test out the polarity of the magnets.

Santino seems a bit snotty but I love him all the same. He won my heart when he was laughing during the one guy's crying fit.

And I'm so happy the lawyer got booted. Why is there always a fashion designing lawyer? And her "heirloom" scarf was completely silly. She could have tied it into a tank top without cutting it one bit.

Well now, if she HAD included the scarf into her outfit then she wouldn't have been able to turn on the 'drama queen/center of attention' bs.
Since she appeared to be wearing the scarf as a tube top/blouse in her parting comments....I call bullshit on her.
