Geoffrey's dress was gorgeous and deserving of the win, but I do grudgingly think Sergio's would look good on more body types. But given the latter's "the judges are afraid of me" comment, he can stew in the runner's up slot.
Brittany, once again, was salty about Nancy. Maybe she has mommy issues.

I don't know how I forgot to mention Sergio's dress - it was fantastic! I love a full skirt like that!

Finally caught up! (I was 8 episodes behind.)
I watched Victoria get butthurt because after Dayoung got seriously ill and had to leave, they brought another designer back. You could see her little mind rejoicing in a serious contender leaving, and doing the math that there is one less competitor.
Then in the current episode, she is pissed when they didn’t eliminate anyone.
Victoria. Sweetie. You didn’t follow the challenge by using the Ashley Longshore print, and you didn’t follow the next challenge by using a sheer fabric. Then you punted the tie dye by doing the grand diaper with baby acid upchuck jeans and ruffled green stupid shirt. You were in the bottom the last three challenges. You should have been gone the last three challenges.
She grates....

Seriously, Victoria is just the worst. She's worse than Sergio, because at least he's been helpful to other designers in the work room. Victoria's just this one-note annoying, unpleasant person.

I thought Victoria’s dress was cute but she always does the same thing. She really lucked out this time in that her client wanted exactly what she always seems to put out there. I can’t imagine what she would have done if that had not been the case. I can just envision the meltdown.
Was it Marquise who created the dress for the very petite athlete? As someone who has always been tiny, I could certainly relate to her story of wanting to look older and sexier. I eventually had to learn how to sew in order to avoid buying children’s clothes. Now, well , I just look like a sweet little old lady. Anywho, I know she really loved her dress, but I just thought that it somehow made her look even more childlike. I didn’t think that the dress achieved what she’d hoped. She seemed thrilled though and that’s what matters in the end.

Since all the clients were so obviously happy with their dresses I am so glad nobody was eliminated. None of those ladies need to feel responsible or guilty like I would if the designer who created something I asked for and loved got eliminated.
This one hit all of Nancy's sweet spots and it was nice to see her particular brand of thoughtful design showcased as something other than silly. She put a great deal of thought into her look in ways that might not be visible but mattered to the client.
I was not particularly overwhelmed with any if the other designs but it was a 1 day challenge with clients- doesn't really seem to lend itself to guiding the client toward something more innovative.
I swear, if they give Victoria the Gretchen treatment I will walk away again...not even Christian will be enough to overcome my disgust. She does what she does very well but has no range or desire to expand her range. That is not a love of fashion - it is a love of HER fashion only.

Geoffrey Mac said that Victoria was, “funny. And mean. Everything you would want in a woman.” /s
I like Geoffrey. He’s this big tough buff Marlboro man that does cami prints and military swag. Who is an enormous softy whose voice breaks if he’s happy or sad. He’s a good friend to Dayoung when she was sick. And he’s done some great designs too. He just seems like a good guy.
Christian catching Geoffrey checking him out? “You looking at me?”
Geoff “you know I’m gay.”
Christian “we all know, honey.”
It so reminded me of Santino doing his impression of Tim Gunn, “Where’s Andre? I wanted to take him to Red Lobster.”

"What happened to Andrae?" One of the BEST Project Runway scenes ever, and one of my go-to cheer-me-up clips!
