I watched the movies "Octane" and "Tangled" last night and Jonathan's eyes compelled to start a thread on him. He brings the pretty in ways I cannot begin to describe. Plump lips(the top is bigger than the bottom, Hee!) Beautiful but cold vacant eyes...I guess there is a creepy kind of quality to him also which is why he played all those sick twisted individuals in his roles. And in real life, he does come across as kinda... Anyone else looking forward to seeing him as Elvis?

This means something. I keep looking at the eyes. Oh, he's gorgeous and creepy. I heard a rumor (not true) that he was getting married a few years ago, which kind of broke my heart, but I still have some residual lust left for him.

He's creepy, but in a cute way.
I don't think he's getting married, at least not to the woman he was arrested for assaulting. To be fair she was arrested as well.

Yes, his eyes are rather distinct aren't they? I like them.
I enjoyed him in Bend It Like Beckham, Gormenghast and The Governess. Does anyone remember the name of the movie where he played a glam rocker alongside Ewan McGregor?
I love his angular features.

I recommend Velvet Demon for pictures. Moulin Goldmine is also a very good site. I was just watching Velvet Goldmine and while he is very attractive, he just looks so icy it creeps me out. Now what was this about him assaulting someone?

Earlier this year, he and his girlfriend had some kind of altercation. Sometimes, I feel such sadness looking at him because his life seems filled with mistakes and misfortunes. But I just really want him to be successful. He seems to really need it. He and Ewan are easily responsible for the Hottest. Screen. Kiss. Ever.I finally saw a commercial for the Elvis miniseries during Survivor last night. May 8 is apparently the first night. I just love that JRM is playing the King. I hope he does a good job. I know I've made the last two posts, but it's been a while so here goes... Movie stills have been released from the upcoming Elvis miniseries. I am really looking forward to seeing this because I have a soft spot for the wacky that is JRM.

I think the new Elvis movie looks really good and JRM looks good in it. I know there was some speculation at the old board about him being creepy in real life, but on the screen I think he is a good actor. I tend to be on the fence about his looks, sometimes he looks absolutely gorgeous and other times not so much. The only thing I can say for certain is the boy should NEVER run. That airport scene in Bend It Like Beckham is just painful. He can be fairly spastic, but I still like him a lot.

In the extras for the DVD release of Gormenghast there's a brief interview with him about he identifies with Steerpike because Steerpike was obviously sexually abused as a boy by that rancid cook. It made me go hmm.... and in the extras for Titus Andronicus there's a scene of him reading scenes with all the other actors and my, god, he's tiny. Don't know about that boy, tho he's gorgeous.

I loved how he would pronounce Gormenghast in the commercials for the show on BBCA. He's the only reason I sat through most of it. I do agree with you, chiqui. There is much about his interviews--with regards to his childhood--that make me go hmmm... And also what makes me root for him so. He's a wierd one, but (imho) an endearing one as well. He reminds me of a puppy that was kicked about and is now so grateful for kindness that it will expose its belly for any old stranger to scratch...but every now and then will snip and snarl with seemingly no provocation. No matter what, I find him infinitely more interesting than the Tom Cruises and Brad Pitts of the industry. ETA: I open the Parade magazine that comes with my Sunday paper and who is on the last page?! I never thought JRM would be in a publication like this! You can access the extra info not included in the paper at Parade's site.
