Yeah, I totally used to watch this show with my friends stoned when I was in college. It could be damn funny. I watched it sober with my Mom once, and it was painful. But that's more my Mom's fault than the show. There was a drug/cocaine episode I sort of remember that was funny...
I *hate* TV Funhouse on SNL though.

Yeah it was twistedly good. It was developed (but not hosted) by Robert Smigel, aka "Triumph the Insult Comic Dog". A lot of the same elements are there. It's usually a love him or hate him thing with Triumph. I think he's hysterical.

Loved the "You Eat What You Are" restaurant, and the alcoholic lobster who took his dinner home for later.
The cartoons were repetitive, though. How many times can the baby, immigrant, and guy on shrooms joke be funny?
And the host - Doug? - with the dog who chased his own tail was also not the best part.

LOl
I'm glad I'm not alone in this.
And I agree about the cartoon and Doug. The best part are the AniPals. The way they accost people in the streets high on Christmas cheer in the Christmas Day episode is pretty funny. At one point they just throw the puppets at the people walking away. hehehe
