I'm also so sick of Sam. Shut up, you fucking punk - so Marcel stood up for himself at the judges table. Big deal. So it made him look a little twerpy, it's not like it's a major offense, nor does it take away from Sam's win. I do have to give props to the editing staff for showing Sam carting off his huge enormous prize, while at the same time, overlaying the soundtrack with him bitching about Marcel opening his mouth - it just made Sam look so bad, IMHO. Just shut it, you big whiney baby. "Waaaah, Marcel made a comment and can't let me enjoy my win! Here, let me set down my huge wooden box of 20 fucking professional knives so I can rummage around for a Kleenex!" Sam, you have so many wins under your belt on this show, Marcel has probably lost count. If he makes a comment about his own contribution? Shut the hell up and shrug it off.

Regarding Padma - I've been thinking the last couple of eps that she is not much of an improvement over last season's Mrs. Billy Joel. She comes off as stiff and uncomfortable. She lacks enthusiasm with the scripted dialogue, but it's pretty stilted stuff to begin with. I recall reading somewhere she has some food experience; not real evident, is it? Seems to me they could just do voiceover and get the same effect. Except for the weird outfits.

ETA India, I agree with you about Sam. But did you notice that the others said to Ted, "Oh, that's just the way Marcel is" and just brushed it off.

Exactly. Plus, Marcel never said Sam was a bad leader - he just said that he was able to contribute alot on his own without a ton of supervision. Even the judges said, "It sounds like you're standing up for yourself" - they didn't say, "It sounds like you're putting Sam down." Sam needs to get the hell over himself.

There was definitely a huge ego/personality clash between Mia and Cliff. I don't really remember if Mia was pushing for more dishes, but her opinions, as a caterer, didn't seem to be taken seriously. It was such a contrast to how well Team Orange worked, that's for sure.

Sam is one of those guys who appear moderately attractive across the room, but once he opens his mouth you start to think, "Eh, he's not that great looking up close." Whatever looks I might have noticed in the beginning have been completely overshadowed by the mixture of his instigating, whining, and also downright idiotic remarks. He might be semi-pretty (you want *genuine* pretty, look at my avatar), but the guy is so freaking DUMB. And he speaks in monotone. Ten minutes in conversation with this bloke would put me into a coma.

Sam is good looking only in his current context. I mean, if he's standing next to Mike or Betty, yeah he stands out as someone borderline coherent and put together. But on the street? I'd pass him by.

Sam seldom smiles. I don't know if that is because he is a serious individual - or maybe he has bad teeth. At any rate, he doesn't come across as a happy person.

Meh... he just strikes me as one of these guys who never smiles because he thinks it makes him look like a badass if he doesn't.
