Anyone else think it not a good thing that Jen went home to be with their daughter before Ben got his award the other night?

I was wondering about that too. She was supposedly there to support him, yet they did not walk the carpet together and she was not there when he received his award. What was the point of her even going?

I agree. And there was something in their eyes, I just smell trouble. I hope not though.

I didn't see any story about the awards ceremony or anything but based on the posts here, I wouldn't necessarily jump to any negative conclusions. They seem very baby-oriented and less enamored with the Star scene. I could see leaving something that I considered a job so that I could get back to the baby. I've always respected that they seem to actually parent their daughter, and I think they/she (but there's no indication that he doesn't support Jen's devotion) probably swing towards more involved than average. Not that that is bad. *I* was like that, which is maybe why I can see it. I didn't leave my son overnight anywhere until just before I had to go to the hospital to have baby number 2, when son#1 was 4. Don't even think I had a babysitter for son#1 until he was around 1yo. As long as both parents are on board with the style of parenting, the degree of attachment isn't a problem (well, unless you are KAK and you just *don't* parent......). So if the ceremony ran late and they felt it was important for Jen to get back home, Icould see them agreeing she should leave. JMO

I saw a really dreadful film he was in Man About Town not too long ago. I should post about it in the Movies section but I'm too lazy right now. I'll do it latter. I must warn poor unsuspecting folk not to do what this dummy did was waste $10 and two hours of her life on it.

Yeah, I think they just keep Violet their priority. I saw some cute pictures of Jennifer in a friend's wedding where Ben was on the beach with the baby until it was time for the wedding to start.
He's one of those guys who is just adorable with a baby.

Plus, they've never done the red carpet together -- not since Daredevil, I think. So it's not like not doing the press line as a couple is anything new for them.
I wonder if they're just totally gun-shy after the Bennifer craziness and trying to avoid any side-by-side tabloid comparisons. I know I would.

I think they're devoted to keeping their daughter out of the spotlight and all. I don't know though. I'd get a family member or babysitter for the evening to watch my husband pick up an award. I certainly hope there isn't any trouble in that marriage. Now I'm not against a boyfriend (spouse, etc.) putting his hand on my butt, but it's weird to see Ben do that to JG. It's something I could see him doing to Ho. In fact, he's done that with Ho, so the act with JG seems kind of skeevy to me. The reason the act is skeevy is because it's a move you make on Ho.
