It was on WB and looked silly so I watched it. I regret that choice.
I thought it was bad. Just . . . but. Not very funny, not well written at all and just not enjoyable.
Plus, I'm getting tired of seeing the whole "I love my career and my love life is a mess" storyline. Women have more issues than work vs. love.
But who knows? Maybe my years in broadcast tainted my ability to enjoy it because I was too busy screaming whenever they would jump out of a news van and say "This is Pepper Dennis, live!" AGGHH, you can't set up a live shot in that short amount of time.

Glad it sucks. Perez Hilton got a guest spot on it. He always says things are great, regardless of how shitty they actually are, whenever he has any vested interest in it. It's irritating, but I do it to myself my reading his site.

I liked Brooke Burns and the guy...Rebecca overacted and ruined it for me. She gave me the same vibe that Jenna Elfman does in her series...I'm the star and I'm outrageously good.

Yeah, I agreed. It sucked hard. It's too bad because Rebecca Romijn (sp?) may have comedic potential. Although she would be the cliche gawky-but-beautiful protagonist.
mrpancake, I get irritated too. I had to stop reading the Perez site.

Glad I missed it then. This sexist premise really needs to stop.

I saw the first minute or so (accidentally), where she jumps out of the van and accosts that poor woman, and I had to change the channel, because... no. I mean, I'm not in broadcasting, but... No. I also wanted to spare my poor boyfriend (who is in broadcasting, albeit on a teeny local level) the pain.

Everytime I saw a promo for this show, which were hard to miss because they are freaking everywhere, I thought it was Jessica Simpson. I never watch a show that is that heavily promoted. I'm actually surprised Rebecca Romijn was on a TV show on a baby network like the WB. But after viewing her other projects on IMDB I can only say I'm not surprised.

Hey, ain't nothing wrong with "teeny local level" which is where I toiled for five years. But yeah, it's just soo wrong.
And what pissed me off is that she came off like such a total moron even though she supposedly graduated from Northwestern? Northwestern should sue the show. Good lord. Why does the woman always have to be dumber than a box of rocks and get by on her womanly intuition and pluckiness?

This show is...well, just cheap fun for me. It's so trashy and the storylines are beyond predictable, but it just seems amusing for some reason. Also, the show (from the two episodes I've seen...which, I think there's only two so far) seems to be going around in circles.
They need to start 'going somewhere', although I think they're playing it safe in case it gets cancelled. Or something.
I've also been offended by the anti-feminism, and I think the writers thought the prostituion episode somehow saved them from that. But they seemed to be trying way too hard to say something...I'm not sure what it was, but...they need to get a bit more 'modern.' The show has like a 1990 feel to it. (Is it supposed to take place in an earlier time, or something?)
