Is there anyone else besides me watching Saved by the Bell every morning? I love this show. Today had the epic duo of the Johnny Dakota episode ("there's no hope with dope!") and the oil-drilling episode. My favourite line from the latter: Jessie and Kelly: Stop the drilling! Stop the oil! Franklyn: Stop the shouting and give me a kiss! I can't watch the caffeine pills episode without snickering. I noticed that Jessie has a poster of the Cure in her bedroom which I totally covet. Also, her step-brother Eric was a total babe. I also thought Graham (the guy Jessie protested with on the Cut Day episode) was kind of cute too.

ME ME ME!!! Just a few days ago I made this part of my morning get-ready-for-the-job-I-fucking-detest" ritual. It all started with the Jessie's brother episode, which I surprisingly never seen before. I missed the very end. Did he end up macking on Lisa?
The caffeine pill episode is my very favorite. "I'm so excited..."

They're already back to this episode, again? I loved this show. I had a chance to meet the cast (OMG. 16 years ago? ) and Mario was an ass, Mark-Paul was a DOLL, Tiffani was sweet, Dustin was weird (surprised?), Elizabeth was just meh, and Lark was so adorable! It's sad that when I watch re-runs, I vividly remember them all like it was yesterday.

Actually it was more of a peck. Of course the crowd goes crazy. Screech starts crying, Slater puts his arm around him and Screech proceeds to wipe his nose on Slater's shirt. Ha and ew. Spinderella, you got to meet the cast? Jealous! When you met them, were they young or was it when the show was ending? Too bad Tori wasn't there. Kidding! Speaking of which, I didn't like Tori. She couldn't act and it showed.

I met them in '91, so, I don't know which season that was. I think it was getting towards the end, but they still had two more seasons to go. So definitely in their prime, but not their "Good Morning, Miss Bliss" days. (HA! I remember that, too.) Now, Tori (one of the Crell Triplets) had ZERO acting skillz.
Yet, I still see her (or is it one of the other sisters? They all "act") on commercials from time to time. Last one I saw was a Pizza Hut commercial where the mom and the kids come home and dad "see I can cook" called in pizza for dinner. That was just a month ago.
Shit. Why do I recognize these people and actually . . . care?

I haven't seem these awesome Tori Pizza Hut commercials! I guess they only air in the States?
Every Friday they play the College Years episodes. I HATED Alex with a passion. It's mostly her annoying, nasal voice. I have no idea what Slater saw in her - theirs seemed like such a passionless relationship, at least compared to the one he shared with Jessie.
Who has co-ed dorms anyway?
ETA: Spinderella, I love your avatar!

I haven't seem these awesome Tori Pizza Hut commercials! I guess they only air in the States? Maybe? But, you're in luck! I did a search and found a screencap and video of the commercial! view hereYou can see Tori in her glory! (Heh.) Or, is it one of the other triplets? I seriously don't know. Hee! Thanks! ETA: I think it's her triplet sister, Monica. She's the only one of the sisters that is still "working". Apparently, Monica is married to Rob Liefeld and Leanna (Tori) went on to start up production companies that she's the CEO of. (Indie films) That photo is from Rob's 40th Birthday party, and it really does look like Monica is the one in the commercial. Though, they sound exactly the same.

The College Years was pretty lame, considering it was a prime time show, but I was a kid and SBTB was my favorite show, so of course I watched every episode about 100 times! Alex was pretty annoying, but I thought Leslie was even worse because she was just so bland. However, I loved the return of Kelly, who looked so adorable with short hair. And of course they tried to spice things up a bit with topics like dating your professor, cheating on your ethics exam, getting in touch with your chicano heritage, and planning a "rave" with the super cool fratboys, whose drug of choice was Nitrous Oxide (um, if freaking SCREECH is your best drug connection, you should FAIL college!). Oh, and that Dean totally wanted a piece of Zack. BTW: I went to a huge public university, where all of the dorms, bar two or three, were co-ed. But those were just ugly jail-cell like dorms, not the cushy suites of TV Land. Actually we had a few "suites" (in name only) and those were single-sex, but they sucked so much no one ever chose to live there voluntarily.

Yes! Great commercial. The blonde hair looks great on whichever triplet that is. And now I'm hungry for breadsticks and marinara sauce.
It seems like a silly thing to say but the triplets really look a lot alike. I'm glad Tori gave up the acting thing and is now into production.
And yeah, Leslie was pretty bland. The chicano storyline was hilarious. It had one of the best lines in the series though; can't remember it verbatim but Zack asks Slater why he had to choose the weekend they went to Lake Tahoe to be chicano. The girl he fell for in that episode was also the Inca girl on Buffy.
