Haha! Zack Attack was the bomb. Sadly I know the words to "Did We Ever Have a Chance" too.
When I was younger, I used to think high school would be just like how it was portrayed on the show. I didn't know any Zack Morris' but I knew plenty of Screech and Kelly types.

Reading through this thread, I decided to youtube the much alluded to ' caffeine pills' episode and it is, indeed, hysterical. I must have watched it 5 times. It might be even more enjoyable than Miss South Carolina's freak-out. Mark Paul Gossler's acting is far above his material.

Hee. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is awesome. It took me some time (I was such a fan!) to make sure how to spell his last name right, and God Dammit, I will still spell it right to this day!
He is really a total sweetheart IRL and is soooo easy on the eyes. I loved how he was on Good Morning America (or was it the Today show?) to promote something and I guess the interviewer wanted to hear him say something in Dutch. (His mother is from Dutch Indonesia & Holland and MPG speaks it fluently)
Apparently, he said something (unbeknown to the show) VERY bad in Dutch. *snort* Good for him. He apparently got asked the question about his ability to speak it often, so he wanted to sorta get back at them for asking.

I was up early today *gasp* and tried to watch a few kids shows just to see how they've changed since I was that age. Hannah Montana is AWFUL. Maybe I'm asking the wrong crowd but Saved by the Bell wasn't that horrible or anything, right? I considered the idea that maybe SBTB might have been really bad but enjoyable for my particular generation, that it was just an equivalent to Hannah Montana now, but I am clearly biased.
And it looks like no one draws cartoons anymore! The kids aren't even in almost believable real-life situations in the cartoons, like Recess (OK, I still watched and enjoyed this when I was too old for Saturday morning cartoons, but still).

Save lilo!, the state of Saturday morning children's television often depresses me too. I end up watching it because I don't have cable, but I have to watch something on Saturday mornings. I'd also like to think that "Saved by the Bell" was, for the most part, better than these crappy Disney channel shows that seem to have completely eclipsed cartoons in a way that SBTB never did.
I usually end up watching "Veggietales" on Saturday mornings.

I was a little too old for Saved by the Bell, and I do remember thinking that it was lame. But this comes from someone who thought Scooby Doo was pure gold.

Oh SBTB definately had its "lame" moments. However, at least they provided eye candy. MPG was hottttt. (and the girls were lovely, too.)
The crap on TV now is geared towards tweens who just.don't.get.it. And are immature beyond their years.

Although I don't think MPG is/was hot, he was very charismatic and had a natural presence on screen. Everyone was well cast. I don't think there were any instances of character assassination through the series, unless you count the wedding where Jessie misses an exam just to attend.

Saw that episode this morning, and it made my Monday tolerable. Seriously. That was pure joy.
