Didn't Dr. Phil ask her if all her rage stemmed from her being molested as a child? Anyway, I hop the authorities were gunning their engines when they saw that tape. THESE KIDS NEED TO BE REMOVED NOW!!!!!!

Yesterday at I went to buy soup for my lunch and this show was on right at the part where this mom was abusing her children. You could have heard a pin drop in the normally loud and busy cafe. Everyone was so upset. The girl behind the counter was bawling, trying to watch and serve me. I am still so upset. So many women would love to stay home with their kids everyday. I went to the Dr. Phil website and it says that immediately after seeing this family he reported them. They were supposed to be on his show 2 weeks later but he insisted on having them on immediately because things were so bad. I really don't think he is equipped to deal with type of abuse. Absolutely heartbreaking. I don't think I will ever watch him again.

I'm not usually a defender of Dr. Phil , but I do like watching him.
That said, I think he did what he could do. I'm a teacher and have been to one (online!) training session to deal with abuse. So, I am definitely not equipped to deal with abuse, but when I see it, hear about it or suspect it, I deal with it the best way I can. Legally, that means reporting it to authorities.
These people came to him and asked for help. Sure, he could have presented it differently by not showing the kids, not repeating the abuse sequence, but at least something is being done to help those children. So many kids have to live with that abuse (and worse) and no one ever does anything to help.

I wonder where the first husband is? He can use that tape in court to get custody of his children. The second husband did not look suprise when he watch that tape he is guilty of hitting the children with a wooden stick. What I do not like about Dr. Phil, is when he uses children for ratings.

There are some situations where safety issues should trump ratings, even if it is sweeps month. Forget the cameras, forget the show--just get those kids out to a safe place and let the authorities deal with the psycho parents. I can't watch this show any more. Shill used to be so much more insightful in small doses on Tuesdays with Oprah, but this show has gone straight downhill since it's premiere. I now find it too insulting, upsetting, and/or ridiculous to watch.

I just saw that show. Seriously disturbing. I do wonder if would have been more sympathetic if it was the father as the abuser. The attitude is almost like, "Sure you are cruel and torture your young children, but you are a woman with maternal instincts, so it should be pretty fixable." I kept thinking of Andrea Yates the entire time.
BTW, I missed the end. Was there any update or anything?

God I hate this show. I practically never watch it, but I tuned in today and Dr. Phil had wifey Robin and that horrible Steven Cojocaru give advice to fifty-year-old women on how to feel fantastic at fifty. Is Steven Cojocaru in his fifties? Is he? Or was he just there to give "style" advice. Well regardless, I think that has to be one the most absolute worthless pair of people to be on TV giving out advice. With the endorsement of a "doctor" no less.

Is anyone watching DrPhil right now because today's show (it is the 3rd one on this couple) is making my blood run cold. I truly think that this man is going to kill his wife as soon as he gets a chance. I have never witnessed anything like this and it is chilling. This man is insane.
If you have not seen the ep, please go to drphil.com and read the summary. But you have to read all 3 to get an accurate look at how scary this man is. Delusional, crazy, needs to be locked up. Phil has definitely bitten off more than he can chew because this is not going to end well.

I remember watching the first one ( ) and thinking "The advice is simple - divorce this psycho." Which is why it's making such a fascinating program. (I missed yesterday's episode, but the US station repeats them a week later, so I'll tape it then.)
