Has anyone else been watching "To Catch A Predator"? I am totally hooked. These are some of the stupidest guys I've ever seen.

I watched it and wondered what kind of dipstick would drive all the way to see a girl he'd been talking to on the internet, that was underage too. Then I realized just exactly what kind of guys they were and it didn't puzzle me so much anymore. I was disappointed that they didn't show the guy from the opening montage who looked like he'd gotten naked before the reporter confronted him.

I've watched about ten minutes of two different "To Catch a Predator"s, and while I'm all for humiliating sicko pedophiles, I have to ask, why do people watch this show every single week? Self-righteousness? Waiting to see someone they know? At first I was stunned at the stupidity of these guys, and the odd fact that they really didn't seem to react when an adult man came into the room when they were expecting a young boy/girl, but really, what are people getting out of seeing 20-30 guys put in the same situation? I kinda felt sick for watching it after a while.

It gets very dull, very fast. Dateline, we get it. There are really strange people in this world, we need to police our kids computer use. I got the message the first time.
Enough already.

The one time I caught one of these Dateline internet pedo shows, I was really surprised at how good looking and non-creepy a lot of the guys were. I expected internet pedos to be far less attractive. Maybe Dateline edited out most of the ugly ones for that episode.

The Mr. has a coworker who never misses these. He said he started watching because he wanted tips on how to keep his tween girls safe online. He's said he's sort of apppalled/ fascinated by the guys and how seemingly normal many of them are, and it scares him. He likes the sense of justice.
