I don't know if I titled this properly, but I just titled it the same way her IMDB page is. I can't stand her at all. I think she's overly rude to people who don't articulate themselves well in court, which I think is insensitive and elitist/classist/whatever. Many of those people probably just don't know how to speak very well, and they have to be nervous too (what, with being in the presence of Satan and all), but if someone doesn't speak to Judge Judy the exact way she expects them too, she automatically freaks on them for being so "disrespectful", which I think is unecessary. I don't watch too many courtroom shows, but most of the other Judges I've seen, like Judge Mathis and Judge Mablean Ephriam, seem to have an understanding of what kind of background many of these people come from and so they don't constantly remind the litigants (is that the right word) of every little thing they say and do wrong. If someone is definitely out of line they have no problem calling them on it, but those Judges don't seem to go out of their way to show their authority. My dad has her show on today and she made a guy tell her his Social Security Number right there in court. Could she have not gotten that privately afterward? They bleeped it out for TV, but still, everyone seated in there heard. Anyone have any good dirt on her?

That's why I love her. She says what I'm thinking. LOL Anyway, she was on Regis this morning. Apparently she got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame??!! Doesn't mean much I guess, considering those are bought and paid for by the stars themselves. She's much nicer on chat shows.

My ex-boyfriend crashed my mother's car while driving drunk. I filed a claim, on her behalf, (I even served the bastard) in small claims court. A producer called my mother from Judge Judy saying that even if we lost, our claim would be paid. I guess they scan the claims regularly for ones that sound spicy. Our's was, that's for sure. But my mother declined. I so wanted her to go, with me as an expert witness as to my ex's immorality, but it was a no go.

Ever since Winnie the Pooh got his star, I think that Walk of Fame has officially lost any and all credibility, as if it hadn't lost all that already when Ryan Seacrest got his star.

Hey, Winnie the Pooh deserves his star far more than many others. Sharon Stone? Ryan Seacrest? Please.
Pooh Bear rules.

Yeah, I totally would take a picture of Pooh Bear's star before that prissy Seacrest.
As for Judge Judy, I agree with Tamara. Every time she smacks down some loser, I wish that our judge could have done that in my real court.

It seems right that Winne the Pooh has a star.
I didn't like when Judy let women off the hook (so to speak) in the unpaid cellphone bill cases. She would excoriate the guys for being losers (and they were) but the women were wrong too and equally in need of the famed JJ tongue-lashing. I prefer Judge Mathis because he doesn't let people get by with spoken or unspoken elitism or failure to use common sense.
Her husband may have been an effective judge IRL but he was a complete bore on The People's Court, no personality at all.
