Tonight is the opening show of life at a US Army hospital in Baghdad's Green Zone. The hospital has a, IIRC, 98% survival rate. HBO is doing this uneditted.
This is way too powerful.
Please, keep discussion to the show.

Shit, I caught just the wee end of that and I don't think I could have handled more of it. I can handle the artificial traumas on shows like ER but knowing this is real, and that I've lost a very close friend there a year ago this week...well that leaves me gutted.
Maybe I'll screw up the courage to watch more next week. I think this is important television and the more unsanitised reality we see of Iraq, the better.

When they showed three guys from Illinois hurt , I felt like I knew these guys even though I didn't.

I watched the whole thing. My God if I didn't have respect for our brother and sisters serving whether it's in the field or in the hospitals, I sure do now. Very difficult to watch but I figure if these kids can go through this hell then the least I can do is spend an hour getting a glimpse of the hell they go through.
I also like how the filmmakers just plain showed us the footage without giving a political commentary.

I just watched the show. Is this a series or a one-off documentary? Very powerful. I started tearing up when the Illinois soldiers were brought in. Watchig them fight so hard to save the Marine...no words for that moment.

I've been told by two separate american friends to watch but I couldn't find it in Canada. Not unusual but its' got to be somewhere. So I searched online and it might be available on cable on demand. But I have to ask if it's a series or was it a 2 hour documentary or If I can find it on the dial here, I'd like to see it but hope I haven't missed it entirely.

Finally found it in Canada on digital. Thank goodness for fast forward on that service. The surgeries were beyond my strength to watch. But I do agree, this documentary is excellent for showing what they all go through over there.
I wish it was longer though. I think it ran just over an hour in total. Does anyone know if they're doing more at some point?
