I love Tony Shaloub, but I feel that Steve Carrell was robbed! He's a freakin genius on The Office. I also love Tony Shalhoub - I will watch him in anything and I think he's fantastic on Monk. However, this is the third year in a row he's won the Emmy. I'm not upset that he won, but pretty soon here he's gonna have to pull a Candice Bergen and pull himself out of the running before it gets embarassing. Let's try a little variety here...oh, wait. I forgot for a second that this is the Emmys we're talking about here. Oh, well. If they gotta keep handing it to the same person, I'm glad it's Tony Shalhoub since he actually is pretty damn good. |

Everyone should take down the number of Jaclyn Smith's plastic surgeon. And burn the numbers of Farrah's and Kate Jackson's.
Notice Candy and Tori were both in the audience.
Haven't seen a bad gown yet. Julia Louis-Dreyfus' was my favorite.
I keep thinking, "Bill Nye the science guy was in a movie?" I know they mean Bill Nighy, but still...

I can't believe TAR won over Project Runway.
Stephen Colbert saying that he would've been happy to lose to Wolverine, because he's got claws for hands, was pretty funny. He was robbed too, man. Even Jon Stewart knew it!

Farrah did look all twitchy and coked up. I've always thought Jaqueline Smith was the prettiest Angel.
I'm so tired of the stupid Grey's Anatomy cast. And Eva Longoria.
The American Bandstand thing with Dick Clark was so sad. Then Barry Manilow comes out with this embalmed skin and his hip surgery tomorrow and the whole thing quickly turned into a tribute to death.

Yeah, my dad had a stroke about ten years ago. Seeing Dick Clark struggle through his words was painful (my dad full regained normal speech with therapy, BTW).
I'm in the minority because I love the applause during the In Memoriam. I wanna know who was popular. This year Don Knotts and John Spencer were both pretty even, I think.

Calista Flockart looks awful. That's what starving yourself for years and bad cheek implants does to your looks, Nicole Richie. Has she had a nose job? Her nose looks bizarre. Plus, I was massively annoyed that she tried to steal the "ass over tits" joke and then the guy she was presenting with tried to steal the "Barry Manilow!" joke. Keifer always seems so self-important. |
