I don't believe I've seen anything starring Helen Mirren, but I think she was the best looking woman in the room. Her dress was wonderful.

Blythe Danner rambled like a madwoman--I had no clue what she was trying to say.

And for a second there, it looked as if Farrah Fawcett was going to lose it. She was twitching. She giggled at weird times. And she kept ducking her head down. Odd behavior.

The bit with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert was hilarious. And Conan was great. And thank goodness Bob Newhart made it out alive. Even if it was only 52% of people who wanted him to live.

Yeah, I noticed that too!!! It was like one of her nostrils was bigger than the other.

I loved the fact that two of my favorite shows won.
24 and the office woo hoo!!!

I could do without Simon Cowell with his shirt open to his navel and his chest hairs glistening in the light.

There were some really cute moments David Blaine in the bubble with cue cards of all the writers,(I can't explain it well, you had to see it) of the daily show, Stephen Colbert and his bears.

Various, random thoughts:

Calista didn't only look horrible, but she also had greyish teeth. Seriously greyish black. What the hell?! Did anyone else notice that or was it just a hallucination?

Queen Mirren looked absolutely beautiful. If I can look even 1/10th as good as she does when I'm her age, I'll be ecstatic.

One of the best lines tonight was during the introduction of Carrell & Jon Stewart regarding Fox News being fake news. But their whole bit about reality television cracked me up.

I wanted Chris Meloni to win, even though I like Keifer. And, much as I understand the fuss about 24, House was robbed. ROBBED, dammit. And Hugh Laurie too. <sniffle> I wanted Kyra Sedgewick to win for the ladies, so another Boo to that outcome.

Yay for Kelly McDonald and the Girl in the Café. It was such a good movie and it deserved the awards.

And a Yay for my adored Jeremy Irons winning for Elizabeth.

Debra Messing and Sean Hayes looked shocked that they didn't win, while Annette Benning and Gillian Anderson (in particular) looked seriously pissed at their losses.

Ray Liotta, lay off the Botox. Your entire mouth region was frozen. I suggest you ask Sir Ben Kingsley for the number of his plastic surgeon.

Farah, lay off the drugs or the booze or whatever is making you act like such a freakish twit. It's not all about you. And you're not an 18 yr old ingenue either, so stop the act. Even Melanie Griffin would be embarassed for you!

Allison Janney looked great with her new do, and I normally never think she's attractive. Loved Julia Louis-Dreyfus' dress, and the colour of Edie Falco's. Heidi Klum's dress looked like a Valentino and may be my top choice for the evening. Felicity Huffman's dress was well cut and nice in style but the colour didn't suit her because it didn't go well with her slight tan and hair shade. Katherine Heigl's diamond hair brooches were great but I wasn't particularly thrilled by her outfit, although she really has an amazing figure.

Last but not least: Evangeline Lilly, Go Away! Ellen Pompeo, please follow Evangeline Lilly!

I am totally hating this trend of men in tuxes with open shirts Piven and Cowell I'm looking at you. It's too bad that my dislike of Gwhiney has moved to her mother Blythe Danner, but it has, and I wish she hadn't won.

Kafka Greyish teeth are a sign of one of two things, serious malnutriton or a meth addiction. I'm voting for the meth addiction because I don't like her and despite how thin she is, she's a bit muscular to not be getting proper nutrition. Edited to add: I thought she was talking about the obnoxious lead of Grey's Anatomy.

Bob N. may be the funniest man alive.

Oh, and I hate the fact that my new cable DVR won't let me watch one show and tape another. Boooo Comcast!

There were exactly two wins that came from a show I watch: writing & directing for My Name Is Earl. I was expecting as much. If it weren't for Conan, Colbert, & Newhart the show would've sucked.

Helen Mirren was fucking gorgeous, I'm so glad she beat Gillian Anderson.
