It premiers tonight at 10 on CBS.
I'm undecided on whether or not I want to check it out. On the one hand, people are billing it as another House, but set in the legal world, and that sounds pretty good. On the other hand, the original House is still on the air and kicking ass, so why drink New House, right?
And, it stars James Woods, which also puts me in a conundrum. I think he's a great actor, but a supremely annoying human being. Supremely! I might have to tune in just to see if he's a great enough actor to make me forget how annoying he is.

Spike Lee directed the pilot...
...but it's up against the new JJ Abrams' show, Six Degrees.
Tough call. Hmm, is ABC still streaming shows free online? Because that'd make it easier.

I saw the pilot last night and liked it a lot. Yeah, it's basically House Goes to Court but James Woods is awesome - I can't really see any other actor in this role. The scene where he mock-shredded one of his lackeys was so enjoyable to watch.

Entertaining, but I won't shed a tear if it goes away. I like James Woods, but he is no House.

I ended up not watching it. My desire to see it didn't equal my desire to get an extra hour of sleep.

I'm going to Season Pass it. I thought James Woods was very good in it. I think he's probably quite skeevy in real life, but he's a very good actor.

Sleep won out for me as well, but I'm still curious; any word on there being a repeat?
ETA: Caught a repeat. I won't be going out of my way to see this ever again. I was hugely disappointed.

I liked it. I've seen three episodes and I'd rate it as highly as House. Hugh Laurie is fantastic as House but the plots are as predictable as the old Qunicy shows. Every single week they have a mystery ilness, every week House decides what it is, then the patient gets worse, he guesses again, get's worse, finaly guesses correctly. On the evidence of three episodes Shark, and Woods, seem slightly less predictable. Maybe it's because the crime/courtroom setting has more posibilities than a medical setting.
And I like the relationship between Jeri Ryan and Woods. The characters argue but it's never cliche'd and they seem to respect and even like each other despite the situation, although you could argue that's very similiar to House/Cuddy.
