I can justify the bags staying put (and intact) with a stretch: he weighs them down so they sink, so that'd keep them in place. And they appear to be heavy-duty bags, not the cheapo crap you'd find at Wal-Mart, and they're taped up tight so they're inaccessible to scavengers.

Yeah, well, sharks are known to bite through wetsuits, so I doubt a heavy-duty bag even compares. Plus, there are currents running through that water. Currents are known to swiftly scoop up fully intact bodies out to sea. I am sure it can do the same for body parts in a bag - even with a brick to weigh it down.

I think Dexter would have been smarter than that, and he would have just use acid or something to destroy the bodies. Heck, he already has a keepsake in the AC, if that was what he was aiming to do. I mean, why would he just dump the bodies in the water for the bodies to rest at the bottom of the ocean floor?

Probably for the same reason a lot of killers do the things they do. They think they're too smart to get caught. (And he's a fictional character and "they" were actually plotting for him to get caught, apparently.)

I'm a little peeved Dexter didn't call Doakes out on tailing him, I think any normal person would have given him a "WTF man!?" But Dexter isn't normal and its a non-issue now that Doakes saw him in NA. Speaking of which I hate the new character Lila, she annoys, with the "I get your darkness" crap. Hope Rita socks her in the fish lips.

Doakes has been tailing him ever since the ITC was caught so it's not like it was a surprise to Dexter. He's commented and make snide remarks to Doakes about it since the first episode this season.

I hate Deb. I so wanted the Ice Truck Killer to finish her off. Every time this season when Dexter says, "I must not kill my sister.", I yell at the tv that he should go ahead and do it.

I don't mind Lila so far, but I'm not feeling Esme. Has girlfriend never had a crappy boyfriend before? She needs to do her freakin' job instead of worrying about his credit card receipts.

Deb is just so damn irritating, although the girl does know her way around an expletive. For me it's like my dislike for Deb is inversely proportional to my like of Laguerta. I hated Laguerta at the beginning and liked Deb and now it's completely reversed.

I'm so glad Rita has a spine now though. I found her weakness somewhat annoying in the early part of season 1.

Just finished watching the latest episode and I have to say that I totally hate the Lilah character.

Her character just comes across as so contrived. It's like "Ooo look. She steals things! " and " OOoo she is into weird shit like welding manniquins together in gross and bizarrre ways!"

And she also always seems so emotionless and blank faced. Even when she is supposedly angry her face remains the same. (Except I am kind of disturbed and annoyed by her teeth when she enuniciates.)

Maybe that is the point though? To show that she too is a person like Dexter with no real emotion? I don't know, but when I watch her and Dexter together I see no spark or chemistry between them. If they are supposed to be soulmates, then shouldn't there at least be some kind of something there? I am not seeing it.

I do love this show though, and Maria just continues to surprise me. She IS a cold hearted bitch, but I so love characters like this

I loved the reveal with Maria. That was awesome, and I totally didn't expect it.

I, too, dislike Lilah. She's such a cliche in a lot of ways, and not a great actress.
