SO! How was the new "Prime Suspect" episode last night? We had to record it and are on pins and needles until we get home tonight to watch it. We loves us some Helen Mirren! She looks great with the white-ish hair.

I liked it but I'm kind of bummed that it's "the last." Love me some Helen Mirren!

The murder investigation is cheerier than Jane Tennison's life. Jane's Dad dies and she is about to retire and she has no one and soon no purpose in her life. It is like we are watching Jane's death.
So sad, so depressing, but I'm watching.

We finally watched it and, um, I think I take back what I said about Jane looking good. She actually looks wretched: worn out, weary, lost and considerably older. Naturally, Helen can look much better: I love her for allowing her character to look so rough. We were riveted to the screen throughout and I was near tears numerous times. It was such a difficult episode to watch, but SO well done! I can't believe we have to wait a week for the conclusion. Helen Mirren? Perfection!
