I must admit I have never thought Liz Hurley was anything more than two breasts falling out of a Versace dress, but her lovelife might be worth a case study in How To Be A Celebrity at the Learning Annex.

Today one of the British tabs decides to dissect the husband's wealth, of course after the wedding, and to emasculate him in the headline by calling him Mr. Hurley. It will be interesting to see if Liz will be able to keep the focus on herself instead of her husband becoming the new chew toy for the tabs. I imagine once Heather Mills is gone, they will need someone else.

Well, if he is broke I'm sure she knows and she married him anyway. Kind of argues for it being love. It bugs that the old standards still apply that as soon as a woman who is successful/wealthy in her own right marries, the guy is made out to be less of a man if he doesn't have as much as her. Maybe her experience with Bing taught her that not all rich guys are prizes.

Well, since he had the reputation of being a playboy and millionaire, and Hwood is ALL about reputation, I think she thought it was worth "buying". I have no opinion about whether or not it's love, but I could see how they both thought they were getting something out of it besides love.

On another note, isn't it eerie how much her son looks like Bing?! So much for denying paternity, if he ever tried. Wow, that must be wierd. For him, to have a mini-me running around that he wants nothing to do with. And for her, to see a jerk in the face of her son. If she ever had a child with her current husband, I think that offspring would be absolutely beautiful. He's 1000x more good looking than the weasily-faced Bing.

According to the Hello article, he wasn't. Liz said that she didn't invite him and Arun didn't invite his ex-wife because they "thought it would make all four of [them] a bit sad." She did say that they "adore" their exes, though.

I think she's very p.r. smart and knew people would look into his finances. No way did she think the tabs would not look into it -- she knows how they go looking for a scandal. That's why I think it's love -- because his financial situation is kind of embarrassing and she married him anyway.
