Damien and Kaia are riding the coattails of their famous mothers. They're reproducing their moms' classic looks to generate ongoing interest. I know Kaia is a runway model herself, but would she have been without Cindy's influence in the industry? Same for Damien and his role in The Royals.
Damien, from the looks of his IG, loves himself. LOL. He's pretty, but his pout is annoying. I can't imagine that being pretty, rich, and famous makes either of them modest?

It's cool and modern and all, but this is now the third or fourth time I've seen him dress up like his mother as an hommage. He's directly reproduced photographs of hers a few different times now. Kaia Gerber dressed up in one of Cindy Crawford's looks once and it got her a lot of attention so maybe that's why he does it, but I'm starting to get a lot of Motherboy vibes from the Hurleys. This. I find him really creepy, it's like he actually wants to be her and is always actively trying to draw comparisons. Very odd. |

I admit I already have a creepy bias because his name is Damian though. I knows it’s a legit name but I always associate it with the Omen. It’s one of my “always no” on the name list. |

Thirded. It's very creepy, and I don't find him attractive either. Pretty boys are a major turn-off for me.

I find it ironic that he's now perceived to be so beautiful and his mother's doppelganger because he was the homeliest little baby there ever was. And he looked exactly like his father back then.

I like the idea of pretty boys in the sense of gender analysis and commentary, like hair metal, New Romantic, and...Robert Smith (dreamy 1987 goth sigh) but I don't find it especially attractive. However, I don't find Damien interesting at all. I don't even think he's that good looking--I'm trying to be a nicer person but he's kind of Beavis with a glorious blow-out.

Can I just add that I find the vacuity of this thread SO goddam refreshing? Such a relief to discuss if a pretty boy is indeed actually sexy or attractive, or just freakish in his maternal adulation.
I think he's attractive, I always click through to look at pix of him, but I also find him pretty bland and sexless (and this isn't down to his vague androgyny, he just seems so flat) and even his strange maternal adulation doesn't tip him over into Independently Interesting.

I'm trying to be a nicer person but he's kind of Beavis with a glorious blow-out. I was trying to think of who he reminded me of. Nailed it. And those eyebrows? Jesus. Liz still remains beautiful as ever, but definitely strong AF "Motherboy" vibes going on there. Whew. |
