My sister got the first 2 seasons on DVD and we've been watching them when we get a chance. I watched the entire series run when it was on Fox, but don't remember a lot of the stories. I watched every episode religiously for the last 2-3 seasons and I can hardly remember anything from the show. I wouldn't even remember half of what you people have already posted about had you not, you know, posted about it. I completely forgot Kirsten and I still can't even remember Ross.

Charlie and Kirsten were still together in the last episode, and she was pregnant. Of course, this was after Charlie already had another kid (Diana) with Daphne. In the last episode, Kirsten & Charlie & Diana & brat Owen moved away, because Charlie sold the house to pay for Claudia's school. And Julia's school. And Bailey's school.
I was entirely too invested in this show. Hee.

I loved Ross ridiculously, and probably appreciate him more now that I'm an adult. Anyone know what happened to that actor?

I remember howling when Owen came home from school and stammered, "the kids called me sl-sl-slowen!"
No, not funny in real life, but hysterical when delivered by whiny little Owen on the show.

I loved PoF, but my God, it was one awful thing after another. Dead parents, alcoholism, abuse, cancer, Bailey's girlfriend dying, teenage pregnancy/near-abortion/miscarriage ... how can all these things happen to the same family? Jeez.
I agree that Sarah was whiney, but I also remember that Bailey got drunk and nearly killed her in a car crash, so he wasn't the world's best boyfriend, either. I actually thought he was kind of a dick to her a lot of the time. Someone refresh my memory - did they end up together? Didn't he cheat on her with some girl (Callie?)?
Their nicknames for one another cracked me up - "Char," "Bay," "Claud," "Jules."
My sister has the DVDs. I may need to steal them.

Man, I loved this show. Yes, it was a huge sobfest, but some of the moments in it were *so* much fun. Like the ep when everybody helps Charlie sand the bed (or whatever he was building) and they all start lipsynching and dancing around. And again with the dancing, when Claudia's 'request', to Kirsten, "If You Wanna Be Happy" starts playing on the radio, and they dance around the kitchen like fools. Love. On the other hand, I just finished watching the first two seasons straight through on DVD, and all I could think was that Sarah is just the whiniest, most petulant girlfriend EVER. Nothing Bailey ever did was good enough for her. Man. He found her adoptive mom ahead of time, and purposely steered Sarah away from that situation to spare her feelings? Bastard! He was very concerned about her when she got mugged? JACKASS. Pshaw. One relationship I always did like was Claudia/Ross. They were awesome. Finally, I giggled like a twelve-year-old when I watched the Season 2 ep where Claudia's friend (I forget her name, but the bitchy girl who smoked) had a crush on Jim Trow. Why, you ask? Because the actor who played "Jim Trow" went to my high school at the time, and was my partner in French class. He endured eons of teasing for the "You taste like chocolate" line. Good times. Wow, that is really neat Peagirl! I think the closest that I have ever been to a "celebrity" or actor, etc. was that my ex-stepmom used to babysit DJ Qualls. The skinny guy from "Road Trip". Back on topic- I tried to watch this show. I was in its target demographic- I watched all the angsty teen shows, 90210, Dawson, Felicity, Buffy, etc. But this one and My So-Called Life bummed me the hell out. I don't watch TV to make myself sad. TV is supposed to make you HAPPY.

Now I'm trying to remember who the Hell Daphne was... Was she kind of a screwloose? I vaguely have the memory of some lady who cried a lot about her baby. See, because of my longstanding interest in pop culture, and because I had a dull social life and lived vicariously though television, I watched as many of the angsty teen shows as I could. (We didn't have a WB affiliate here so I had to pay a friend to tape me "Dawson's Creek".) I did really like them at the time, but looking back on it I think I almost forced myself to like them just as I forced myself to watch them. If Po5 was still on today I doubt I'd be into it. In contrast to my affinity for teen dramas in middle school, once I got to be 18 I can hardly stand to watch any movie or show that takes place in a high school because watching everything those fictional people do makes me feel like I missed out. Why didn't I ever get to screw a teacher?!

Daphne, as I recall, was a stripper. I think Charlie met her when they hired her for some bachelor party? Somehow her and Charlie started dating or maybe just had a one night stand? Anyways, she got pregnant, moves in, but I don't think that her and Charlie were together, just raising the kid together. That's all I got, I am sure someone else can fill in better.

I find it interesting that Matthew Fox and Scott Wolf were the only cast members to really find any later success. I know I am a bit late to comment, but I don't think Matthew and Scott were the only ones to find success. Jennifer Love Hewitt has her own tv series, Lacey Chabert has a lot of work coming up and Neve Campbell is also working on some things.
