Recap's up on my blog. The more I look at it, the more I like Erik's room. It's just a shame about those damn drippy "ART" canvases.

Did one of the judges call it Manson family art? It reminded me of something out of the Tate house.

Am I the only one still watching? I was relived that Michael went. His room was just so dull and depressing and blah. It was just miserable.

I liked Goil's room except for the stripes. They just seemed oddly out of place. But overall, I think he has quite a bit of originality and does some interesting work.

Andrea and Matt both did really nice rooms, but I do think that it was right that Andrea won. Matt's choice in chairs were a bit too heavy for my tastes. Andrea's room just looked so finished and elegant and fitting for a chef's table.

I agree, biondetta. I usually really like Goil's work and I thought his chef's room was fun, but it definitely didn't fit the brief. I didn't really care for Matt's room even though I could see how it was successful within the guidelines of the contest.

Michael's room was blah. Most of his rooms have been that way. But I thought he left well.

Next to go will be Carissa and then Goil. I really think that Matt and Andrea will be the final two.

Oh, and did Matt mention his wife and daughter?

I'm kinda surprised that Matt is straight. That said, he's an awesome designer. I LOVED his room. Those leaf placemats were a thing of beauty and he continues to amaze me.

I also flove Goil, but I think that's because he's so hot.

At this point I am tuning in as much to see what insane outfit Kelly Wearstler is wearing as much as I am for the room designs.

Between her hair and her outfits, she's always fascinating. Oddly enough, though, I like her more than the Elle editor.

How random was it to have Trudie Styler as the guest judge? Is there any real reason why she should have been a judge? I mean hell, I've done some decent design work on my own homes over the years. Based on how they introduced her, I could have been the judge. Weird.

I'm glad Matt won. I liked both lofts, but I just liked Matt a little more in the end. I loved Carissa's bed, though. That looked fun.
