I actually liked Carissa's more. She's a drama queen but I loved her room. I loved everything else Matt did though this whole season--his loft was a disappointment to me though. It didn't seem to have any flow and the bedroom was just not fun enough for a 4.5 year old. But I haven't always liked her stuff throughout the season. So in that sense, I do think Matt deserved the win. Cumulatively, his stuff was better.

Heh. I just saw Matt's rant about Trudie and couldn't really agree more. I loved his bit about, "just because you can afford a house doesn't mean you can decorate it." hee!
I actually did like a lot of Carissa's rooms throughout the competition. I'm a fan of the mid-century mod sort of style. God knows I'm a fan of orange, too. That's the color of my sofa and love seat in my living room. But I thought Matt tended to be slightly more finished in his designs overall. I wasn't blown away by either of their lofts on the final challenge, but I liked elements of each. Personally, I like my bedroom fairly simple and clean and not overly detailed, so I could understand where Matt was coming from in terms of wanting a bedroom that wasn't as busy as the bathroom.

I liked both lofts equally--didn't really love either one. Probably because I am a color junkie. I liked more of Carissa's furniture selections, especially that black and white chair, and really liked Matthew's bathroom.
Kelly let me down most of all. She looked so...ordinary.
