Is that Tammy, with her son.... um.... crap... Duff, Jr? She's very pretty. (And kinda vapid.)

Yes...that's her! I think her son is Ryley. He's not in my son's class (no Riley or Ryley's or whatever! in there). She's my height (5'7") and looks pretty much the same as on television. She dresses like most of the other mothers (in those velour sweatsuits that match), in that she doesn't stand out from them. She looks like everyone else. If we hadn't been coming in/out of the door at the same time, I wouldn't have noticed. I just wonder how long her son has been attending this school because it's not even in Coto. It's about 10 or 15 minutes away, depending on traffic.
ETA: I tried watching last night's episode and fell asleep. God, these people are BORING! Or maybe just last night was boring. I don't know. I do know that this Tammy woman needs to stop frequenting my stores! She was in an educational toy store that my boys love, which is also quite a distance from where she lives. Oh, and Laurie's daughter is a pig. Cat poo, everywhere! Gross!

I went and blogged about TRHOOC. I couldn't believe how Jo broke the news to Slade about her moving out! And seriously, how jacked-up is Jeana's marriage?

I'm not understanding the nature of Jo and Slade's relationship anymore. Are they engaged? Isn't he her sugar daddy? Isn't he footing the bill for this apartment that she's bitching over? I'm getting really confused about their dynamics. Also, drinking seems to be taking over her life, is it just me?

Has anyone heard of the movie that is gonna be on USA called "The Starter Wife?" It's about the wife of a Hollywood mogul who gets dumped and has to restart her life. When I heard of it I couldn't help but think of the real housewives -- I mean you think some of these ladies were the trade-ins for for the starter wife? hehe. I am gonna have to check it out when it airs in May.

I thought the scene between Britney, Tammy and her 4-year old was really sad (adult date scene). I absolutely will not judge her for wanting adult companionship (esp. since she's only been in 2 major relationships--whoa), but the scene made it seem like she was all about dating while her kids were clearly in a needy place. Then the date totally fizzled. Bad night for the family all-around. Her date was a jerk. I'm glad she kept it uncomfortable, he did nothing to make her feel relaxed.

Re: Jo and "Slade" (aka the shit-sandwich relationship), I think she's a real estate agent or something. I'm pretty sure she works with/for Jeana, and I've heard "Slade" mention that she had her real estate license. But then, there's no guarantee she does that on any kind of regular basis. Could be she farted around with real estate for a little while, maybe enough to convince "Slade" that she wasn't going to depend on him for money. And hey, soon she won't have to, once her fabulous singing career takes off! (HA!)
Some of the show's saddest scenes are between moms and kids. Lauri telling her son that she was blowing him off because George had already made the travel plans was hard to watch. Any scenes in Jeana's house are hard to watch. And seeing Tammy blow off her kids -- and to go on a date she clearly didn't want to be on in the first place -- was tough, too.
Honestly, what's weird is how most of the kids seem okay. Vicki's kids seem all right; "Slade"'s son Gavin seems pretty cool; Tammy's older daughter appears to be doing fine; and I've blogged about how Kara and Colton are turning out okay despite their lousy parents and nightmare brother. I would've thought the entire second generation would be looking at fantastic careers in the paint-huffing field, but more than half of them seem all right.

I can't believe how Lauri let her daughter slam that door in her face. Man, I would've gotten a smackdown like you would not believe.
I think you're right about Jo having at least some of her own cash, because whenever Jo does something anti-Slade, he takes back the car and license plates. J Smily, everybody!

In an episode from a couple of weeks ago, Jo was so obviously proud of herself for buying her own car. Cut to Slade saying he helped her out with it.

He had a 4 year old. I think. I'm guessing the mom decided she didn't want him on camera and took him back. His name is Grayson - someone sent in a question about him to this column:
