The only thing I miss about actually watching TV as opposed to watching shows stream from my PC is that I miss some cable programming like HGTV (House Hunters - domestic and international) and LMN (Lifetime Movie Network.) I love me some bad Lifetime movies - I think my favorites starred Richard Grieco and Antonio Sabato Jr.

You're welcome!
I've seen that Greico movie! The actress is also in another movie with John Stamos where she marries him and it turns out he's abusive. And there's young girls being murdered and he is a suspect. That's a staple movie for me. They've been showing The Betty Broderick movies lately and I could watch those all day! Especially part one. The recent Lifetime movies are not that good. The Jodi Arias one was baaad!

I LOOOOVE the Betty Broderick movies, and just like you, prefer the first one. I know it's terrible of me, but I root her on during the entire movie. Meredith Baxter played the hell outta that. Lifetime plays it so much that I've never felt the need to buy it, though I used to see the movies selling on Amazon for decent prices. I'll admit, sardonictart, that one of the reasons I keep basic cable even though I subscribe to Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime is because I don't want to let go of Lifetime just in case things get really good again. I've enjoyed the bad movies this year. Anyone watch Christina Ricci as Lizzie Borden? It had its moments, but it could have been so much better. At times it felt like a historical music video.

It was okay, but it was graphic! The hatchet in the Dad's face was gross! The movies I can't watch are the ones about babies being stolen or abused. The one with Kristi Alley as the abusive foster mom? I watched it once and it was enough!

Oh, no judgement from me. I would still have basic cable just for LMN and HGTV but it's not an option for me anymore since I don't live in the USA. I very much miss my LMN bad Christmas movie marathons. I was able to watch them on some UK channel I used to get but my cable is now gone completely since it was not a reliable enough purveyor of HGTV, Shark Week or LMN. I'm jealous of all of you being able to enjoy "background" TV like House Hunters and Law & Order.
Fa-lalala-Lifetime movies are one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season. I think I saw one recently where a woman kidnaps a man to be her boyfriend home for Christmas or something equally ridiculous. It may have starred Crystal Bernard or I may be confusing my movies up because maybe it was Brian Bloom? Oh how I miss this crap! *sniff*

Lifetime really did own the true stories back in the day. They had the right mix of cheese and interesting storylines, which made them fun to watch.

Okay, who's watching the Brittany Murphy Story? Does the guy playing Ashton Kutcher have clip-on bangs? Were Brittany and Ashton really the most annoying couple EVER? Was Brittany the female Norman Bates when it came to her mother? So many questions...
Also, the actress playing Brittany looks like Jeanette McCurdy, and she seems to be doing a bad impression of Tai Frasier rather than portraying Brittany herself.

I'm watching. The actress is attempting to sound like Brittany, but when I close my eyes she sounds like soap actress Sarah Joy Brown. Ugh, I hate seeing Sherilyn Fenn reduced to this. I've always liked her.

I started watching about 30 minutes in (right when she was doing the movie with Ashton). Did they cover 8 Mile and her fling with Eminem before that?
I can't deal with the "British" accent of this guy playing Simon Monjack.

Very briefly. Ashton and Brittany's relationship was over and done in about 7 minutes of screen time. I don't even think they showed Eminem - just her doing an interview about 8 mile.
You actually didn't miss much at all. I'm disappointed. The movie isn't very informative re: her life. It sort of glosses over stuff. Meanwhile, it has no camp or LOL moments either, IMO. It's rather bland.
