It also bugged me when she dramatically said that MOST people register with their mothers but that's not an option for her. OK, whatever. First of all, maybe it's where I live but 50% of my friends live away from their families so they usually register with another friend who's a mom so she can give advice on what she's used. Or they register with their husbands like Tori was doing. Second, it's not like her mother is dead. For Christ's sake, it IS an option just not one you're willing to take. You could opt to call your mother and say "Mom, whatever problems we've had in the past, let's move past them, I'd love for you to help me get ready for the birth of your first grandchild" but she didn't. Which is fine, no one says you have to hang out with your family but quit acting like it's not an option to end a fight. Thank you! I was like, "Quit being a whiny, little twat muffin!" When my husband and I had our first kid, my mom was dead, his mom was in another state, and we were away from both of our sets of friends and family, so we didn't even register. When it came time to pick out stuff, we roamed the aisles both with complete "duhh" faces. It was like the blind leading the blind. I wanted to hit Tori. "Let. Dean. HELP you, asshat," instead she just completely shut him out. I mean, he was willing to help her with bottle warmers! Most guys, even if they've had experience with those, wouldn't remember them, because you're so blindingly tired when you mostly use them (in the middle of the night, right?) that it'd kind of slip your mind. I'd be annoyed as piss with her too. Jensational, I don't think many B&Bs are more than 3-5 bedrooms big. I've never stayed in one, but just from what I've heard. I think it's just because the "staff" is usually only 1-2 people, or whatever.

Saw epi. 3, Tori is even more of a brat, and Dean calls her a freak. Why do they have these hearts fluttering on the scene at random moments. They aren't particularly romantic moments. If that's their romantic loving moments then I feel bad for them.

Hi there. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I watched last night too - did it ever occur to them that if they wanted to live in that town, they may have thought about spending a weekend there to see if it was a place they could live in before making an offer on the B&B? Did they not do any research on the town before driving up there?
Cripes, even when the company my husband worked at shut down and we knew we would have to relocate, we researched towns online before my husband sent out a resume to a job posting.

Welcome coley!
You speak the truth. It seems that they'd visited so they'd have somewhat of an idea that there's no Whole Foods or Chinese Delivery. Plus, she acted like the town was geriatric but at the grocery store you could see that there were other younger folks there.
Dean was such a "Look at me! I'm an Attention Whore!" this week at the old people meeting. Also, did you notice that when Tori was going on and on about making her famous red velvet cupcakes she was holding a Betty Crocker box? And the cupcakes they made at home were normal sized but the ones they bought into the meeting were large and looked store bought.
Also, I didn't understand her gripe of "I want Chinese but they don't deliver" and then Dean offered to go pick it up and she was like "I don't want to be here alone!" Oy. Shut up. Just . . . shut it.
And I've lived in large towns and small towns--and you can pretty much always get pizza delivered so you won't starve.

Thanks, Jensational!
Yeah, I noticed that the cupcakes were frosted very professionally, especially after she seemed to be having a really hard time spreading the frosting on the cupcake we saw her "work" on.
And does she expect him to stay with her in that B&B 24/7? What was she afraid of? And besides, there was a camera crew in there with her - who is going to break in knowing they'll be videotaped?
And I threw up in my mouth a little when they prattled on about watching porn and getting it on.

Yes! The porn was gross and also very staged. It appeared they had digital cable. Can't they just order pay-per-view porn? They made it seem like "Oh gee, this small town doesn't have a porn section to their video store." Near me is all just Blockbusters and they don't have porn. Netflix that junk. Or just buy it on pay-per-view. Weirdos.

Speaking of Netflix, wasn't there some story about Tori and Dean getting a free lifetime subscription to some Netflix-type DVD rental company that just does porn because they had mentioned in some interview that they rent porn through them? Why don't they just use that service? They deliver!

Don't they have a Backstage Video in that town? I live in a very small town and our Backstage Video has a porn collection almost as large as the "regular" videos.
Or they could just buy that shit online much like most ordinary non-celebrities do. It seems just like something to complain about and kill TV time. They must be incredibly boring in real life.

Can't they just order pay-per-view porn? They are probably way too POOR to afford it. We're not getting this show in the Great White North, but I like to read about it here. It sounds even more horrendous than I figured it would. I'm starting to actually feel bad for Dean.

I wonder if Dean's ex-wife is getting people to tape this for her. I wish I could watch this.
From the sounds of the way they are depicting the town they have moved to I can't wait for the whole town to arrive at their B&B with pitchforks and torches. Oh wait that is something my town would do.
