Anyone watching this?
The premise is the guy who wrote Beautiful Girls has to come back to his hometown and has to face all the people who he wrote about in Beautiful Girls.
I enjoy it but I find myself trying to figure out who is who from the movie. Yes, they did bring back the Natalie Portman character.

I watched the premiere and it's kind of weird, because the guys in Beautiful Girls were waaay older, or it probably just seemed that way because Timothy Hutton was 36 at the time and coming back for his ten year high school reunion - yeeeeeah. I'm trying to figure out who's who, too. Did he even mention an old girlfriend in Beautiful Girls? All I remember is the lawyer that he brought home. Honestly, I can't believe they milked Beautiful Girls again. (Hmm. I wonder if I could say Beautiful Girls once more.)
Who's the Natalie Portman character? The "wiser than his years" possible son?

It's the college girl and they kissed tonight.

I keep trying to watch it because they shot it around town (like, where I work and where I grew up) but after about fifteen minutes of "Oh! Good shot of the courthouse! Hey, that's the window of my old office!" I fall asleep.

Hate the show, everything about it is so cliche and predictable, the acting is bad, Laura Prepon's voice grates and the fact that it's based on Beautiful Girls makes me hate it even more. I love love Beautiful Girls and will always have a soft spot for Timothy Hutton because of that movie.
Unscripted (also with Bryan Greenberg) was so much better than this crap. I still don't know why HBO cancelled that show.

How did they get permission for the references to "Beautiful Girls"? Is the film's director or writer involved in the tv show? Trust me, I won't watch this show to find out because a) it will probably get cancelled in 3 weeks and b) I can't stand Laura Prepon.
