Wow, that's sad. It's hard not to jump to conclusions about this. I can say, to invite that kind of evaluation into your life is at the very least, a nightmare that seems endless. I have two friends going through it right now. Thankfully, that wasn't needed in my divorce.... I thank my lucky stars everyday that I had an amicable divorce.
Something must have triggered him to do this... all of which can't be good. :/

As the mother of a teen boy I can see how a transtion in parenting values would take place. My husband is very conservative and I am much more liberal.
We have had quite a few disagreements about how to parent, how much to educate him on drugs and sex and such.
My son wanted to dye his hair blue and I was all for it. My husband on the other had a fit, and thought it was a horrible idea. He felt only delinquent kids dyed their hair. There have been other issues of ideologies on raising a teen boy. I could see that coming up between two divorced people pretty easily.
